Nov 29th 2011 11:47PM woops sorry about the double post, for some reason I tought it had not posted on the first try >_
Nov 29th 2011 11:45PM No, I actually did 1 raid finder run and the stormbinder boss dropped
the dagger weapon.
So far I like how it is working, my only 'cringe' thing
is that in the raid there were only me and another rogue who was
wearing un-enchanted/un-gemmed pvp gear, doing really poor dps, and he
won the roll on a trinket that dropped on 2nd boss, the dagger from
last boss, the leather shoulders from first boss and to make it worse,
the shoulder token from the last boss...
I mean, I am not against seeing other people win gear rolls on a raid,
even more a pugged raid with 25 folks drooling over epics, but maybe
Blizz should had made a small fix to the Need roll system to only
allow players get the "Need role bonus" on 1-2 items x LFraid run...

Oct 17th 2011 10:24PM Another peculiar case, if I remember well, are the 2 Argent Dawn/Crusade paladins that were stationed on Ashenvale on vanilla WoW, and after Cataclysm were killed by the Horde orcs who attacked the Night Elf outpost closest to Darkshore. Most likely they chose to defend the elf outpost for the sake of protecting their friends there but I think that could had been elaborated a bit more for the sake of having an interesting quest chain regarding the current standing of the Argents towards the Horde/Alliance conflict.
Mar 26th 2011 5:37AM At 99/100 in the Mountain of Mounts achievement right now, saving that tasy no.100 for the Heroic Cataclysm dungeon Volcanic Drake (just need 'Headed South' now... ugh).
A good way to get a nice jump on mounts numbers for those who like easy grinds, Netherwing, Kurenai and the Skyguard are nowadays incedibly easy to get exalted with, each not taking more than 2 days if you focus on it. Another nice jump are the AQ slithids, wich only took me 1hr or so to get solo at lvl 85.
If I were one of these darn lucky players out there and had all the dungeon/rare mounts of the game I am sure one could easily reach the 110-120 mark on Cataclysm as it is now, not counting the TCG mounts or the Raid achievement ones. But alas, I have heard like 200 times that dreaded 'TEMPEST KEEP WAS MERELY A SETBACK!' line by now... -_-
Sep 7th 2010 9:14PM Re-post, since previous one 'bugged'(?): How long will this event last? Is this event going to be aviable for players until Cataclysm, or will it be removed soon? because my account expired few days ago and won't be able to purchase a new pre-paid card for at least a couple weeks Q_Q
Sep 7th 2010 9:11PM Really need someone to answer me this question, seeings as not a single site I check has this info >_
Jul 30th 2010 6:58AM My only goals at the moment are:
1.- Down the Lich King (and get the 'Kingslayer' title in the process). Most likely once Cata hits, he will become a 'lolz' boss like Illidan and Kil'jaden are now (or at least they are on my realm), so I want to at least experience that fight while it is still 'a good one'; as well as get that title which will likely also get removed. Gear? I don't give a crap, I just want to defeat him, and after I do, I am quitting the Trade/LFG channels.
2.- Money. It is very tempting when you see things like Primordial Saronites, battered Hilt or 'that' equipment piece that would be a good upgrade for you at the market and at a price you can afford... but so far I have been able to resist the urges. My goal is to at least obtain 100k gold for my bank and 10k for each of my characters's bags (about 8, including future ones I already have planned).
3.- The 'do it now or miss it forever' stuff. Quest chains mainly, such as the ones in old world involving the Blackrock instances and AQ.
4.- Proffessions to the max. It is hard to do this one while also trying to do the money one I mentioned before, but I am working on it; already finished an Enchanter (only missing the recipes from Ulduar) and currently working on a Leatherworker and an Engieneer. Also farming mats for the Blacksmith, Tailor & Alchemist I plan to make once cataclysm hits.
5.- Bite my hand everytime I feel like making/leveling a new alt. Once cataclysm hits, I am going to make a worgen (DK & Priest) and a goblin (Warlock most likely), no question about it, but also want to save the leveling experience from 1-85 for other characters I already have, so I know it is pointless to make one now. Only leveling 1 alt tough, a pally blood elf, for the sake of seeing Horde-side content before it goes *poof*.
Bonus: Get an unique flying & ground mount for each of my characters (at least the lvl 80 ones that is). Like someone before said: better ride around Azeroth with style, than just bumping around with all the other players in their flying-glittering-ponies or the lame and plain Gryphon/Wyvern (150% speed to make it worse) mounts.
Jul 20th 2010 1:03PM I play on Earthen Ring (PVE-RP), alliance side, did join in because I was interested in RPing and because most of the time RP servers seem to be a little less drama-filled than the other ones, and... well, RP is kind of dead... but with 1 catch: it's only dead for newcomers.
The RPers here tend to be very strict with what kind of people they even bother to comunicate with. ' **** RP Guild is recruiting members. Only mages accepted. Heavy RP only, no newbies accepted.', that is the kind of things you see on the chat channels. And if you approach people RPing somewhere (aka: Stormwind Park), they inmediately go into a /self-defense mode, pointing out things like 'Let's wait until this guy scrams' or just a plain and simple 'gtfo'; and by 'approach', I only mean standing like 10 yards away saying 'hi!'...
You can spot a LOT of people with the 'MyRP' add-on in this realm, but most of them like myself, only have it for adornment I guess.
Jun 19th 2010 4:59PM Started the game as a Hunter draenei last year's December, took me quite a while to get her to lvl 80 because I would purchase the expansions (BC & WotLK) way after I had hit the lvl 60 & 70 caps.
I loved it, the idea of always having a pet to help me in my play times specially since I wouldn't really be one to befriend other players, so I had to solo pretty much everything. Pets, mounts and the yearly festive events... everything was wonderful until I hit lvl 80. Back then, in my realm at least, it would be VERY hard to find a PUG raid group, even more a raid that didn't required me to have a full set of 234+ score gear pieces and know all the fights in perfection.
Ok maybe because most think it is useless to do any raid other than ICC/ToC/Onyxia these days, but I wanted to do all of them from start to end, Naxx, Ulduar, Malygos, etc. as well as all classic/BC raids; I didn't really care for loot, I only wanted to see and play these things.
Hours sitting in the LFG channel (you know, before the Dungeon System... you all remember that? :P), doing daily quests, etc. I grew bored.
Then when the dungeon system came live, I decided to roll an alt character with a tank spec, seeing as that would maybe help me get into groups faster and easier for all these old school dungeons and raids I had missed when playing my hunter. I had only planned to play it for low lvl raids and dunegons, leaving my Hunter as my main and 'quests, pve and world event festivals' character.
.... long story short: my main is now that tank character, a lvl 80 female Draenei, Protection Warrior, with 5+ ICC grade pieces and about double amount of achievements/pets/mounts/titles than I had in my Hunter. I fell in love with the role of a tanker, no longer needing to face-roll my keyboard to kill stuff from a far distance, but now to use strategic abilities and movements to ensure the enemy stays focused on me and to survive it's rampage.
Now I just use the Hunter for the world events, planning to ger her the Violet Proto Drake mount and for when I need to do quests and dailies for gold. However, in the past few days I have found myself really enjoying to play a certain blood elf rogue in battlegrounds... :3
