Collectors would already have farmable mounts and pets, and non-collectors would be meh.
I appreciate Blizzard addressing this, and I feel for the guys that queue for 40 min just to fail on the first boss, but the real issue is PUG drama which is just folks being folks. No incentive can change that.

Attackers- win and get a huge honor bonus (after hotfix), lose and they get a shot at defending next time.
Defenders- win and get access to the dailies and raid instance, lose and get shot at the honor bonus.
