Apr 30th 2011 4:05PM I sure as hell hope I'm not the only person who has noticed what the other "around azeroth pictures are".
I have a feeling someone is about to get fired.
Apr 4th 2011 5:43PM I'm not sure exactly what you're advocating, if not homogenization. I mean I understand you want the niche's to be clearer (they're kind of clear cut as is, I think) but wanting the pets to be tied down to a single spec (or no spec) seems to be taking away choice (or flavor) for no real reason. I mean, what's the issue with having demonology locks running around with felhunters for PvP, that they are missing out on talents in the other trees or wasting points? It's not like their talents are gonna be assigned the same anyway; these are a different breed as the PvE lot running around with their felguards.
Besides just equalizing utility or dps across the board (which is kind of throwing away the flavor of the class) I'm not sure what you want? Massive bonuses in the talent trees so we're further pigeonholed into one pet for all purposes, or no bonuses in any so our trees become noticeably duller? (I really like empowered Imp and burning embers! LIKE A LOT)
Mar 20th 2011 1:12PM I play with everything muted. The game is just far too boring to be totally consumed with it, I've no idea how you people manage. So I turn off the sound and queue lots of podcasts.
While I'm sure you lot must be having tonnes of fun killing raptors/boars and the insane amount of grunting and repetitive music, I'm listening to anime/comic book reviews, or long comedy dialogues.
Only in Cata have I started putting on sound, because there is a lot of stuff that isn't subtitled (big pet peeve) and it's irritating to be missing out on plot - so I turn on sound for a few seconds and hand in quests, then turn it off.
Jan 15th 2011 6:21PM Probably the most professional he's come across so far. I know watching the videos he's in he seemed like he was reading from some ham-fisted script and just trying to childishly push things, but he comes across as he should in this. And its good to hear a lot of the issues there is now are consequences of prioritising development time, not forgetfulness or stupidity like the naysayers are shouting about . I think I agree with the order they want to sort things and the state of the game at the moment is great.
Except the chat system obviously, which seems to be a glaring issue that shouldn't be in a finished game never mind a touted blockbuster.
Otherwise, I feel like the game is in good hands, reading these.
Jan 15th 2011 3:00PM The green/purple theme thing is intentional. It's tradition to outfit heroes in primary colours and villians in secondary's. Joker is green purple, Batman's blue and grey. Superman is red/blue/yellow, Lex is green purple. Spider-Man is red/blue, Green Goblin is purple and green.
There are exceptions obviously and the advent of anti-heroes and the changing outlook on colours and constant re-inventions in the now 70 years of american comics means there are lots around.
Just some trivia if you've ever wondered!
Jan 4th 2011 11:32AM Oh god yes. If I'm gonna be sedimentary for 4 hours (not good for you!) I'm not gonna shovel tasty cakes into my mouth (really not good!). I usually have a pint or so of juice between raid start and finish, if anything.
Dec 25th 2010 2:42PM I'm making no demands and no fuss. I am, in fact, only saying that this post could be improved by being more like the game it reports on. Inclusive. And it's not like I'm in any way saying they should just only use "winter veil"; saying Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays is inclusive of others. If Winter Veil seems threatening to you, then your reading the wrong website.
Most importantly, I didn't get upset, and I wrote the comment in about 10 seconds. The only person with a dog in this race seems to be the person with a very sensitive persecution complex. I'd appreciate you not projecting your culture war on the rest of us.
Dec 25th 2010 2:01PM Woooah there. I wasn't talking about Blizzard and I'm not offended. It's not even political correctness. I was just saying it'd be nice to be thought of by the staff. Blizzard have winter veil instead of Christmas cause its nice for everyone to share in something, and not have a chunk of your base not be outsiders to all the merriment. A thought shared by the Happy Holidays in the comments here, but not in the post. Russell (and others) is good people.
Dec 25th 2010 9:20AM What, did Fox News buy Joystiq this christmas? No Happy Holidays, Hannukah, or Qwanza to be seen? Well I feel welcomed.
