Maintenance day loot from WoW.com {WoW}

Mar 16th 2010 9:57AM Sweep the leg

The Colosseum: Tredd, warrior of Auchindoun {WoW}

Mar 3rd 2010 12:18PM a day later and I'm still lmao at his guild name.

Breakfast Topic: If you could redo features in Wrath, what would they be? {WoW}

Mar 3rd 2010 10:26AM I really hope they don't get rid of arenas as they can be quite fun. I can understand a raiders frustration when they get nerfed because of arena play. I wish they would just limit these nerfs to arena play. If they can remove certain timed abilities, consumables, etc, they should be able to do something with class abilites instead of just a broad stroke change to the entire game. I think that is the main reason why there is so much arena hate. But on the otherhand, there seems to be a general disdain for pvp by many commenters on wow.com. The game has a lot to offer and if it's not your cup of tea than you don't have to do it outside of a few of your violet proto drake requirements aka school of hard knocks (which is about the only time I play elemental shaman in EotS lol)

PVE wise I wish there was more incentive to do Naxx and Ulduar. Maybe the weekly raid would have to include a boss far enough in where the group would say, let's finish this. Or maybe some kind of loot overhaul. A couple things that will always have people interested in going to older raids are mounts, quest chains, crafting requirements, and non-combat pets.

PVP wise I wish there was a reason to raid faction leaders more than just once a toon. Have them drop an item or two. What if Wyrnn dropped a tattered allaince banner that you could drop and give a debuff to allaince players (like the opposite of a frostwolf banner) ? A little incentive to do something goes a long way in wow.

Last thing would be to give some incentive to visit outlands besides questing from 58 - 68 and going back for fishing / cooking achievements. Leveling in outlands is pretty insanely fast and it's really just a graveyard now. Is that where northrend is heading too?

Account Administration encouraged not to restore hacked characters {WoW}

Jan 8th 2010 11:17AM Hmm, I was hacked about a year ago and was fully restored in a matter of 2-3 days. I'm still not sure exactly how it happened but I suspect it may have been from a mod I was running where I found some suspicious looking files after it all happened (now i just run recount, dbm and healbot). I guess the care package would be good if you run around broke; it's fairly easy to gear up fast if you have some buddies that can run you through some content a few nights. But if you have something like the 'arcanite ripper' (which I do and yes it still rocks hard) or something that can not be obtained again, then you know the care package ain't gonna cut it for you.

But being hacked is a serious nightmare. I was on the phone with my brother and he logged on to see me running into shadow labrynth repeatedly and robbing the guild bank. The worst part was he was telling my brother that nothing wrong was going on lol.

WoW.com is looking for a Shaman columnist {WoW}

Jan 6th 2010 5:13PM one last thing. . .

Hey, Sacco. How do you HURL bolts of lightning?

sorry couldn't help myself.

WoW.com is looking for a Shaman columnist {WoW}

Jan 6th 2010 5:07PM This is great news as one of my fav characters is an elemental shaman. Maybe I haven't looked hard enough but it seems that there are few resources/blogs on elementals that are current. Good luck to you, Sacco, look forward to reading something more than: FS, LvB, LB LB LB LB repeat or is that the first aticle :)

Are Bloodlust/Heroism drums incoming? {WoW}

Jan 6th 2010 3:27PM I am kind of joking, but since it's pretty slow here in the office I have time to elaborate on my tongue in cheek response.

My view is that unique class abilities are a good thing. They add depth to the game. They make us feel like our own special snowflake while we all wear the same helmet with wings on it and spikey shoulders.

I'm an altoholic and can break out a geared prot/ret paladin, surv hunter, prot warrior, ele/resto shaman to fill almost any slot needed. The friends and family that I play with are all in the same boat (all of us have multiple geared 80s) so it's fun for us to make different combos of classes and go knock out some content.

But I would think that if you played exclusively 1 character, you'd have a right to feel marginalized or even worried (espiecially if you're in a competitive raiding environment) about sharing one of your unique buffs with another class.

Are Bloodlust/Heroism drums incoming? {WoW}

Jan 6th 2010 2:08PM meant to say marginalize unique class abilities

Are Bloodlust/Heroism drums incoming? {WoW}

Jan 6th 2010 2:07PM If you give my bloodlust to every other player, can I get an item that mage ports, conjures food, or does a ritual of summoning? Well, maybe I'd settle for something like. . .idk. . .stealth? Do they really have to unique class abilities any further?

In-game models I would change if I could {WoW}

Dec 30th 2009 2:34PM I would completely disagree, as I think troll males are THE BEST model on the horde (Dwarf males being best on alliance) Trolls have the best dance, emotes, and freaking raptors (yes everyone and their mom has one at 80 but those are OURS!) And our new totems are hands down the best looking model. In fact, I am drooling in anticipation of troll druids is their anyway that their cat form is NOT gonna be a freaking tiger!?!?

I would say human males and undead are in the biggest need of an upgrade. The human shoulder roll thing is more than annoying and after the update of Sylvanus and the monicle guy on the Eastern Kingdoms loading screen, they are in serious need of improvement.
