Oct 27th 2010 7:43PM Where is the tauren one? the one they removed? the one they owe people... gaga is sub human.
Oct 27th 2010 6:08PM all i want to say is that this makes me VERY mad if tauren do not get the same racial mount replacement feature... almost mad enough to get my word document out and cut and paste to write a new ticket to GMs every time the prior is answered... just to tie up everyone's time for the entire month after expac releases.
that's not a threat, its just an idea ive been tossing around if the worst comes to it.
Oct 5th 2010 11:37AM 5 80s...
no rams, no kodos, no remotes.... 3 years on playing wtb diminishing returns on not getting loot. people are deleting excess and others are literally punching their key boards so hard their knuckles bleed... f*** RNG.
Oct 5th 2010 9:51AM This article answers alot of my questions about checking out the gear of HIGH end players and why they had odd gear arrangements on :(
My druid, according to armorylite, was the 5th best geared PvE feral druid on my server and when I went to inspect the other bears to compare gemming/enchanting they would most often be logged out in a PvP resto spec and level 70 pvp gear much to my dismay.
Smurfing sounds fun! I'm logging out in a [Blood Spattered Loincloth] I found the other day, wearing nothing else but Nibelung in a pvp boomkin spec1!!oeoneone1!!@eleven

Thank you for your thoughtful post, I was about to type something horrendously rude until I read your reply.
Greg is absolutely right. I made it to 1300 bracket after 250 games in 2v2 because I stayed in Boomkin and left my shaman healer do all the work. I'm embarrassed to say that once I was educated by rooftrellenx about how we can LoS them the same way they can us I finally broke that 1800 wall. If you didn't know it; for a long while now entering and leaving combat is VERY frequent now in arena. re-stealthing is an incredibly viable option. and lastly... heal for the love of all that is good, boomkins can heal!! what a concept.
I'm eagerly awaiting Cata because there will be numerous patches for balancing and re-balancing (no pun intended). You're thinking too small scale if you think boomkins will be stuck at the mere list of proposed changes in beta. Track DK history... I felt bad for them after a while, then I died to Path of Frost in ToC and hated them again lol.
Have a good day everyone who read this far!
Aug 20th 2010 11:50AM I'm posting this so everyone realizes there are two sides of the coin. RNG is not the best system, I wish it had some sort of internal diminished returns for each individual, or a sliding scale like the new lunar/solar (win/lose ratio) mechanic with mookins coming out.
My wife never wins anything, we wrote down and tracked our rolls in a spread sheet for 250 rolls that were for actual gear we would equip in ICC, we did not just spam '/roll' x250 (this does include saronites and second spec gear; or fourth spec, I'm a Durid). After about 6 months we discovered my average roll was 76 and hers was 34.
Maybe it is a coincidence but she has never seen a hilt in her 5 man runs and after I had won a 4th hilt doing daily randoms (I've seen 8 total) I gave it to her. She almost refused it, detesting my luck.
Ever wondered what your average roll is across your gaming career, I'm sure there would be shockingly low and high averages if Blizzard could shed some light? Let's not forget I have 12 mounts in this game and 8 had to be rolled on versus 5,10, or 25 others. My wife never congratulates me when I win something after our (non-scientific) test was so revealing. She has 76 mounts, no rares, alot of rep farming all over the world, i.e. Ambassador and such.
Aug 6th 2010 8:14AM Grizzly Hills is the best. And I played the game with no sound for two years on my hunter, once I learned that the guns make noise I love spamming [Volley] in random places just to appease my need for the firing sound.
Aug 2nd 2010 2:38PM Kevin, I must thank you for attempting to keep focus on this task. as for the down rating, im in a minority. I know it's hard for people to believe someone can play an MMO without making or playing friends but we exist. I have 6 80s. they all are the lone members of their own bank alt guilds. I play the game very seriously when I raid and progress. I PuG 11/12 ICC 25 every week, twice a week. With different guilds and different raid leaders. I understand this isnt the norm but I hope my play style information sheds light on the fact that not everyone is here for the same reasons.
I know players who have 8 toons and have played since TBC but yet, have no 80s. I meet alot of different player types in my PuGs and questing adventures. Not everyone has been in the same guild for 3 years and passes on BiS slot items to their friend who REALLY wanted it. I may be perceived as a loot whore in raids, and im aggressive in terms of not wanting a 5 minute bio break after each boss down, or 30 minutes to distribute loot at the kill. I do not play for casual sake I have no reason to.
What draws me to the game over an FPS like Halo 3 or MW2 is how expansive this game is, not to mention the diversity of classes or even races (see: druids). Blizzard really has an INCREDIBLE game here. I do view each toon as a human being at a keyboard, but i still know the /spit emote very well. Please respect that you never know the background of the individual with whom you are battling for that OMFG RARE EPIXZZ.
Jul 30th 2010 5:18PM @Ronin - I'm not sure what you mean by giving in. I proposed my personal solution to avoiding a kick happy pug by reccomending you 'hire the tank', or in essence 'bring a friend'. I also said I would rather wipe several times with less skilled or geared persons than wait in queue.
I see how my message could be misinterpretted, it wasn't written clearly, but in other words I would rather not kick anyone at all and just brute force my way through a dungeon. Please don't mistake my silence in a PuG for acceptance of the bullying or fear of retribution. In better terms I meant to imply that I am not vocal so as to not escalate the tension. Bullies usually want an audience and I say dont give them one. Path of least resistance is not always fighitng fire with fire, sometimes you have to listen to be heard.
Jul 30th 2010 4:51PM Two ways the advice ('grow some') doesnt help:
1) 20-30 minute queue times on my server as dps role, someone plays around they just wasted 40min. - 1 hour of your time if you choose to queue again. It is absurd that anyone has that much control of a situation.
2) If you do 'grow some' that can be a sure fire way to get kicked yourself, the math does not work out. 1 target + 1 defender = minority in a group of 5, in turn resulting in getting yourself kicked and back to the INCOMPREHENSIBLE queue time again.
What is wrong with incentivising tanking randoms? They incentivised the role all together with the dawn of Fail Knights (DKs) tanking in any spec and are revoking that. I would rather wipe a few extra times with a horribly incompetent group than stand in Dalaran and be subject to anal [Whirlwind], Chuck Norris' beard hides a 3rd fist? REALLY? ... REALLY?, and 'pallies are soo lame, they are the only class that can tank, heal, and dps' for upwards of 30 minutes.
Honestly everyone, the solution I have found that keeps the game more enjoyable is to pay for tanking services, that way the tank knows that you may be undergeared, practiced, or whatever; and you have a friend in your corner when vote kicking starts lighting up the stage. pay 25g (you make more from the random) and be done with it. 25g is FAR less value than two extra badges when you are at certain gear levels.
Much love for Robin and Lisa, you two are definetly a great help to our gaming community even if indirectly through the actions of inspiried readers.
P.S. I want real name ID tags on forums... like yesterday. And I didn't edit this, sorry grammar police.
