Encrypted Text: Combat 101, Page 3 {WoW}

Apr 8th 2010 11:29AM You and I are the only PVP Combat Rogues. And, unfortunately, I'll probably be switching to Mut/Prep soon and I'll have to figure out how to be good at that.

With Killing Spree I can absolutely destroy just about any clothie or mail toon and it gets me a good start on plate wearers. Along with controlled use of Gouge, Blind, Vanish etc, I have no problems with just about anyone. However arenas are obviously not that controlled and I'm using cooldowns on different enemies at different times in order to focus on someone else. I can see that being the weak point-- 1v1 Combat is pwntown, but handling multiple targets gets tricky.

Can someone point me to a non-flame-filled, just the facts mam primer on why Combat blows as a PVP spec? I do very well with it and am rising pretty quickly in 3v3 but I don't want to hold my team back if I'm going to be encountering problems higher up.

I got to do some research myself and learn Mut/Prep for PvP.

And yes, I'm Mut for PVE.

Feb 24th 2010 5:15PM Amazing post Chase. Again. Best blogger on here as far as I'm concerned (of course I pretty much only play a rogue so I'm admittedly biased). Thanks for pulling this information together in one place. I knew a lot of this already but I was pulling it from a number of different sources. It's great to see it gathered into one article. Thank you.

WoW Insider Show episode 129: House of cards {WoW}

Feb 18th 2010 12:09PM I was thinking about moving on from listening to this podcast but this recent one was so superior to the last few I'm going to stick around. Great, smart guests with something to say and great mix of topics. I think you guys are finding your stride now, well done.

The Lawbringer: Contracts and the achievement tracker {WoW}

Feb 9th 2010 11:54AM I have to say I skipped the first post because I thought, "why would I want to read about law and WoW?"

Now I'm going to go back and read it. This was very interesting, informative and well written. I really enjoyed this post much more than I could have predicted. Well done Amy, I'm looking forward to more.

Blood Sport: Resource mechanics in arena, Part 2 {WoW}

Jan 27th 2010 4:23PM She's brilliant and the producer on this record, Jon Brion is even more brilliant. Check out his original stuff if you haven't. YouTube is your friend.

Thanks for backing up your arena knowledge with such killing music.

WoW Insider Show Episode 124 feat. Daryl Brewer and Fatty {WoW}

Jan 14th 2010 11:23AM I agree with OP.

Sacco, I think you're doing a great job and think the podcast could continue getting better. But Rossi's constant digressions and unfunny (to me) stories really take away from the show.

I get it. He's a tank. Probably a great tank. However, I don't need to hear for the eleventieth time another story about the World of Being Rossi. Really? People dropped group in Oculus? Gee that's new. Really? You know what you're doing? That's great. Can we move on now?

When he's talking lore or mechanics I think he's quite good and actually really enjoy his writing, but it doesn't translate to the podcast in my opinion. OP is right, he needs to be muzzled a bit. Turpster used to go off the rails sometimes but Mike did a decent job of reigning him in and at least Turpster was naturally funny.

Fatty was, in my opinion, awful. I don't think she's untalented per se, just not all that great to listen to. Glad she has fans, I'm not one of them.
