Mists of Pandaria Beta: Beware of Darkmoon Rabbits {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2012 1:36AM Currently it's a boss level monster on the PTR. There are pictures on the above links. So that's highly doubtful. Follow the links for more information.

Officers' Quarters: Desperate appointments {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2012 1:25AM It's extremely difficult if you do not have support from officers. It's also extremely difficult if you have obligations outside of game.

My main advice would be, know the kind of guild you want to have. With clear cut rules of conduct (a charter), and goals, be that a leveling guild, a PvP guild, or a raiding guild. Not that guilds can't be all of these things, but if you clearly define your guild from the beginning recruits will have a better time knowing if the guild fits them before they sign up. Few things can destroy a guild faster than lofty or unclear goals and unreliable leadership.

In short, be prepared to invest a lot of time and effort. It's not easy, but it can be very rewarding.

Finding the line between you and your roleplaying character {WoW}

Apr 2nd 2012 8:02PM -looks around-

Only one page of comments? Yeah I kinda thought those 10 page comment threads about how everyone hates Garrosh and the "Alliance gets shafted in lore" were a product of people taking their RP way too serious.

/sigh

This was a needed article. I just hope you don't lose readers for it.

Thanks for this. For some reason I'm still waiting on that damn invite.

World of Warcraft Mega Bloks season 1 revealed {WoW}

Mar 31st 2012 5:03AM Ametrine,

True, but the market demographic is obvious here. I suppose women and girls only play with dolls and easy bake ovens. Yep I went there. It smacks of sexism. But I wouldn't spend money on Megacrap anyway.

World of Warcraft Mega Bloks season 1 revealed {WoW}

Mar 31st 2012 4:31AM Have to agree with Dekota, I was disappointed when I found out they were going with Megacrap. Lego is so much better. I know, I know Lego probably never approached Blizzard. I just wish that Blizz had said NO THANK YOU, or polled the community on the matter.

Sorry, but bias or not these sets look awful.

Know Your Lore: The haunting legacy of Grom Hellscream {WoW}

Mar 26th 2012 1:30AM Except the fact that Saurfang drank the blood willingly, and excepting the fact that he's old, and not all that interesting. Which is something I think a lot of people are missing. Garrosh is interesting. Vol'jin... Baine... meh...

My entire point is I don't care about anything but conflict. It is a great story, but I'm tired of diplomacy. I don't care about the Tauren, they have a leader. I don't care about the Trolls, same thing. Blood Evles? Well no one really cares about them, and the Forsaken have hands down the coolest faction leader in the game.

When we say Warchief of the Horde, what we really mean is the Orc racial leader. His title is Warchief, and the Orcs are in many ways THE Horde... just like Vol'Jin said, Garrosh is not his Warchief. I'm fine with that, he and his hippies can do whatever tree hugging bs they want, the just aren't welcome in Orgrimmar.

I suppose another way to frame this is: Do the Night Elves consider Wrynn their leader? Sure he's the de facto leader of the Alliance but so what?

Know Your Lore: The haunting legacy of Grom Hellscream {WoW}

Mar 25th 2012 8:42PM "I know our alliances will suffer for it. I know the Horde will be irreversibly changed. But I made this choice with confidence that Garrosh is exactly what the Horde needs."

All in all, I think you've done well to show that Garrosh isn't just an evil monster. Would I hang out with Garrosh? Hell no. But does my Orc warrior love Garrosh? Hell yes.

I'm disappointed that he will be dethroned but if Blizzard does this with some tact and gives not only Garrosh but the rest of the Orcs redemption, as I've said before in these comments, I'll be happy. But he better be replaced by someone that isn't a diplomat.

To all the Garrosh detractors, it's fine that you don't like his character but you have to admit he's absolutely the kind of leader the Horde needs. Especially if we're going to do away with this silly notion of working with the Alliance. That theme has bugged me from the end of BC through Wrath.

Does Orcs vs Humans mean anything anymore?
