Jan 29th 2010 2:04PM Mr. Rossi seems to have missed the 3rd "oh snap" skill, or at least barely mentioned it. as a prot warrior, i have 3 skills that i pop in quick succession in scenarios where my heals arent coming in fast enough.
Last Stand -> Enraged Regeneration -> Shield Wall (unglyphed)
heres the math. (not real world numbers, just easy to work)
Tank has ~30k hp. Last stand gives that tank ~10k hp for 20 seconds, putting him around 40k. Enraged regeneration heals tank for 30% of max hp over 10 seconds. Before LS, ER would do ~10k healing, after LS it does ~13k healing (30% of 40k > 30% of 30k).
Shield wall is there to minimize any further damage taken while LS and ER do their thing.
just remember last stand does 0 healing on its own, it only raises the warriors max hp cap. you need enraged regeneration to actually heal yourself and using skills in a specific order maximizes effectiveness.
my only question is if shield wall's 50% DR stacks with the DR from armor. i.e. if im at 60% DR from armor, does SW put me up over 100% DR?

Jan 2nd 2010 3:41PM for anyone that reads this, it is highly recomended to turn off gearscore before going into a raid.
its a cool addon, but it sends its own requests to every person within range, every second.
so 25 people all sending gearscore requests every second totally eats up the bandwidth of all people in the party. even the ones who arent running GS are effected.
