Nov 9th 2010 8:17AM "Single: Startup: Maul if you have enough rage, Mangle, stack Lacerat. "
That was only half the rotation, and if you ran imp mangle you also had swipe and fff along with keeping up demo roar in a 4.5 sec rotational window. Bear was never "easy" if you were doing it right.
May 24th 2010 4:00PM Yes bears can actually be the smoothest tanks to heal and will often take the LEAST amount of damage. As you move up into the heavy hitting raid bosses like a festergut, the value of the feral armor advantage begins to shine over block value as it reduces a % of damage versus a flat number.
May 24th 2010 3:57PM Actually druid snap aggro isn't as bad as you think. The new mangle glyph adds an additional 10% damage, and swipe is still very good aoe snap.
Jan 28th 2010 6:06AM Well plate tanks still have more avoidance overall, frost dk tanks have always been competitive with bears in armor, and warriors and paladins have block to augment the mitigation. By bringing static mitigation closer, other tanks begin to exceed the value of a bear through their typically better cooldowns and utility.
The problem with adjusting leather if feral scaling (if it draws concern) is that it affects feral dps cats and rogues. One possible solution to giving bears a boost would be a small increase to the mitigation provided through savage defense. It would scale with gear as agility, crit, and ap improve.
Jan 3rd 2010 3:31AM As a bear tank, I purposely eat the whirlwinds and even a little coldflame to keep my rage up and chase after him keeping up 5 stacks of lacerate and mangle debuff to quickly get snap aggro after the threat dump.
