Mar 25th 2007 9:27AM Prot-Paladins FTW! The Petrified Lichen Guard shield that he uses is one of the best mid-level shields that you can get in the Outlands. It has a chance to deal poison damage and can stack 5 times. It's easy to get (Honored with Sporeggar), and it's near awesome for Prot-pally AOE grinding.
Mar 23rd 2007 7:38PM If someone asks very politely, and gives a good reason, I'm likely to help them with a small donation. If they're able to build a small fortune doing this on a regular basis, who is to say that this is hurting the game? On the other hand, if a level 5 n00b runs up and PSTs me with horrible grammar and spelling, I usually respond with "Sorry, I'd like to give you some gold, but you'd just spend it on alchohol".
Mar 23rd 2007 5:46AM I always prefer the bankers in IF over SW, because they immediately open up your bank inventory screen, whereas in SW, you click on the banker and an intermediate pop-up asks you if you want to check your bank account. Well, duh, why else am I standing in front of your teller window? At the IF AH, I always pick the auctioneer to the left, although I'm not sure why.
Mar 2nd 2007 5:51AM Whoever dreamed up the corpse run for Ravenswood cave in Blades Edge is truly sadistic. I was sooooo close to finishing that cursed quest on my first run and then I got killed. Follow that up with 10 more unsuccessful runs. Arrgh!
Feb 24th 2007 3:49PM Sorry, I just can't picture a ninja-like assassin stealthing around in mail armour. You can only butcher the lore and character design so much before it becomes outright silly and unbelievable.
Feb 24th 2007 3:43PM @9: Every class complains and whines, but I would hardly accuse priests of being at the top of the that list. Let's face it - being a healer is not fun. It's a one dimensional role with little recognition for excellence, but plenty of blame when something goes wrong. The play style is boring and and other players don't appreciate how difficult it can be.
The Shadow tree was a respite for healers who wanted to have survivability and expand their functionality beyond the one dimensional healing role. A talent like VE gave us a viable reason to be included in groups and raids, and even then that was only if everyone else in the raid was open-minded.
I'm sure Blizz's response is that Shadow priests were not designed to be primary healers. Mission accomplished. And yes, I've rolled other classes, some of which I quite enjoy, but Blizz's cookie-cutter class design strategy and philosophy is simplistic and crude.
Feb 24th 2007 5:15AM I guess it was going to be inevitable, post-release of TBC, with the huge increase of re-specced shadow priests for levelling purposes. Blizz probably noticed that Shadow Priests weren't completely useless as healers after all. Now that most of those priests hitting 70 have respecced back to disc/holy, now is as good a time as anytime to bring the nerf bat down on those of us who are full-time shadow. Thanks Blizz. I also look forward to Shadowfiend getting 're-balanced' in the not too distant future.
Feb 23rd 2007 6:48AM Unfortunately, us Aussies are used to taking it up the ass when it comes to getting reamed on pricing. This is why we're referred to as the "Ass end of the world". I wouldn't blame Sony Japan so much as the local Sony weasels for ripping off their fellow Aussies.
Feb 17th 2007 9:19PM Would love to be added to everyone's mii list!

Feb 6th 2007 6:49PM As much as I like the idea of withholding heals from boneheads, it's really not an option. It reflects poorly on the healers as a group, not to mention the fact that you could risk causing a wipe. I would not be a happy camper if I died because of a petty vendetta between two other people in my party/raid. At the end of the day, it's better to take the high road - I like to think that us healers are above petty revenge.
