They think it has no market outside Japan but it does. Even just translating text and adding subtitles would be enough to make the localization worth it for the players and for them but of course, we're talking about Namco.
Jul 1st 2010 10:45PM Well, there's still blue left.

The 360 controller is hands down the best controller done so far.
Someone could win a lot just by making a 360-esque ps3 control, and Niko might just be the winner for that.
There are even ps360 custom controllers like that already out there.
Alternatively despite its flaws a lot of people like the ps3 control, so there's definitely that market out there too specially considerinf how awesome the 360's D pad is for some games.
Not very awsome.
Jun 30th 2010 2:00PM So you either wait a few months or buy the game two times otherwise you're stuck with the kiddie friendly version.
At least they get the game unlike China where its fate is still uncertain.

How could we forget that. How could we.

When the other companies are announcing facebook integration as a "feature" I kinda feel like agreeing with you but damn, wouldn't it be awesome if SSMB had Live quality online?
No social crap, dlc costumes or avatars, just, online gaming that doesn't suck.

The way piracy affects sales is way too complicated to calculate and without a real analysis of the data we are just making up stuff.
Personally I believe piracy increases the sales of good games and specially sequels while lowering those of bad hype driven games working like some sort of pseudo demo filter rather than a true alternative.
I remember Spore, I downloaded it. Had I bought it I would have wanted my money back, and it wasn't a cheap game.
Jun 23rd 2010 3:39PM They've had no success with any of their "wars", just more funding to continue doing the same thing with their war on piracy just seems futile.
Unless they had a new smart approach. it'll just be, a great way to waste taxpayers money.
But hey at least they fight unemployment.
Jun 18th 2010 11:04PM And after so many years in this technologically advanced times with real 3D, slowly but surely, 2D platformers and other genres are coming back mixing the quality that built franchises and what systems have to offer today.
I am happy.
Between the new mario kirby donkey kong and now this too.
