Well, that's not entirely true. There's plenty of journalism out there that talks about the underdog video games. The only problem is, without enough coverage of big ol' games, they just don't get the readers they need to keep going. There's still a few out there, though-- TinyCartridge, is, as always, fantastic for portable systems, and No High Scores used to be pretty good for PC (haven't read it in a while, honestly). Heck, Nintendojo--remember them?--is still kicking around on its fifteenth year, though it's been a while since it's exploded in popularity.
Good journalism-- or at least journalism that talks about Good Games-- is still around. Just gotta look for it.

(and by "type" I mean "tap", my apologies)

The difference is in EBA and Ouendan you actually have to have increasingly good manual dexterity, because you type in so many different kinds of arrangements. From what I see of this game, it looks like no matter what you're just slashing away at the bottom screen regardless of what arrangement it looks like on the top screen. At least, that's what JC makes it sound like-- that the arrangements are purely superficial.
Correct me if I'm wrong, though. I'd love to be wrong in this case.
Jul 4th 2011 3:09PM This is really too bad. I loved Mushroom Men, though I knew by its one-week retail life at the local Target that it wouldn't get anything. Plus ... "Mushroom Men"?
May 16th 2011 7:54PM The corrupt priests! I'm assuming they're there in Witcher 2 as they were in Witcher 1 as well.
May 13th 2011 4:22AM Well, he did make quite a few Faces of Evil.
Mar 4th 2011 1:54PM The mainstream Pokemon games, I think, are ones that are never gonna evolve. The side stories, though, should more than fulfill your sense of Poke-wonder. Or at least, some of them. I'm not saying Pokemon Dash is the best game ever, but Pokemon Snap-- I mean, you liked Pokemon Snap, right?
Mar 1st 2011 2:38AM @Soc The thought practically breaks my heart.
Feb 25th 2011 10:46PM I haven't played Command & Conquer since, well, Command & Conquer, the first one. Most of the reviews I've read about C&C4 can be pretty much summed up with "it's not real C&C because it's changed so much"; that being said, will I like C&C4 on its own merits?
Feb 23rd 2011 4:41AM Hmm, it'd be cool if this actually took into account the stuff that's on the Wii's hard drive, like games or memory blocks or whatnot. I mean, I don't see the point of the premise in any other case-- you might as well be escaping from Wonderland.
A strange Tron-like Wonderland.
