Sep 27th 2011 3:35PM blood 2p, yes it gives us 1/2 a death strike... the other half becomes auto generated by WotN. they have the same cooldown however WotN procs at 30% instead of 35% like the set bonus. perhaps they will be changing WotN in the patch notes to match.
it would have been nice to add a shield component to blood runes. for example "in addition whenever a blood rune's cooldown is activated the DK gets _____ blood shield."
May 16th 2011 2:00AM if you remember in grizzly hills their are a total of 5 blood princes. princes Keleseth, Valanar, Theraldis, Tenris Mirkblood[wrath event in kara] and Atherann[prince used to res argul] . 5 princes, 6 riders if you count attunmen. which would mean attunmen was a san'layn.
princes find the scythe and bring it to kara.
tenris mirkblood goes to confirm the findings,
players kill tenris but dont discover the scythe,
the rest of the princes head north and pick up argual's body then go to GH and give it to the wolf cult.
argral is revived and players kill him.
[speculation] the wolfcult regains their senses and ends up giving the scythe to the alliance in GH. a druid investigating the world tree in GH takes the scythe and returns it to darn.[ end speculation]
druids head to gilneas to help with the worgen problem with the scythe.
and as a poster above had pointed out, nothing in current duskwood shows the scythe is still there.. even sven yorgen could have been bitten when jeeves originally grabbed the scythe. the affliction just took till cata to manufest.
Apr 25th 2011 5:22AM are you even reading what you are typing? 2/3rds of a race are assimulated into demonic ranks. the remaining ones pledge their undying loyalty to the naruu. beings that promiced that one day the they would forge them into a single unstoppable army of the Light. and due to this deeply affecting them, the draenei vowed to honor the Light and uphold the naaru's altruistic ideals..
you are sitting there talking about it like they should of just stood there and said "oh please mr demon sir, cut my head off." yes they ran, yes the BL tracked them to numerous worlds. yes the bl most likely killed off the indignious or assimulated them too. but dont forget that even though the BL is big strong and scary.... they arent big enough to move their entire army in an effort to attack the remaining 1/3rd of 1 race that got away.
kil' only sent talgath to find them, if he had a entire unit with him is unknown. so IF he is alone he doesnt really care about the indiginious. his mission is the draenai, he can kill the rest later. its not like the BL arent killing other worlds now anyway while building their forces. in "rise of the horde" it says he went to many other worlds that were "briefly touched by the draenai, but not their refuge" the draenai themselves might see one of the indiginious, or they might not of... even when they reached draenor they had a mutual respect and traded with the orcs, and lived there for at least 10k years before they were found...
i want to know exactly what races you are talking about that they were responcible for destroying... even the orcs weren'd destroyed, even IF the impact on them was immense. kil' was looking for a race to overtake azaroth, the discovery of the orcs made them the new frontrunners, if the draenai werent on draenaor it would have been a different race, but the outcome might not have been as redeeming.
read the lore on nobundo, even draenai that fought tooth and nail to protect other draenai were treated like #$!#% when the legion changed them into broken and the rest due to the fact that the light forsake them. if it weren't for valen's vision the draenai still wouldnt have any shammy in their ranks. this view could also be used to see how they viewed other races that "weren't enlightened" with the naruu, nor could they do anything without the naruu's help. the original ship they escaped argus on was naruu in design.
basicly what im saying is the draenai are very live and let live. they are with the alliance right now because of the same reason the worgen are with the alliance and the forsaken and blood elves are with the horde. the enemy of my enemy is my friend and safety in numbers. draenai, BE, and worgen are just handfuls of the people that are left of their civilization. Until the val'kir the forsaken were in the same boat as they couldnt procreate. now the forsaken are just biding time and gathering strength to make sure they are strong enough to survive a campaign agenst the alliance and the horde when they do break away and we have the 6th expansion... wrath of the dark lady.
Feb 21st 2010 5:52PM lol they should make 2 more eng flying mounts, 1 per specialty.
goblin- goblin rocket pack [looks like the rocket pack from gunship battle]
gnomish- Anti-Gravity Platform [EOE like pad...]
or swap them so ppl can call themselves "green goblins" xD
.....and 2 underwater mounts
Goblin- M.A,N.T.A [mechanical aquatic nitro travel automaton] looks like a manta ray in which you are inside.
Gnomish- T.E.R.T.L [Travel engion restricted to liquid] [looks like a machanical turtle, once again you are inside.
Feb 20th 2010 2:09AM could he? yes
should he? no.... do you really want one of your best single target healers constantly running around to hit floating orbs with judgements instead of healing?
Feb 20th 2010 1:31AM its the 2nd time this was asked, but pest doesnt reapply IT or PS, it applys/reapplies frost fever and blood plague... niether of which were mentioned to have an increased threat bonus.
Feb 20th 2010 1:23AM i dont think so, in a standard [blood] tanking rotation that uses GoD, once you have astablished enough threat, using it isnt going to be a problem, however thanks highly on our dependancy on rune strike for threat, if we havent been given the chance to dodge, parry, or miss a mob's attack our threat generation lingers for a split second while the mob eats the idiot bladestorming warrior/diving storming pali's face. instead when we start a new rotation which for most specs is with IT before you arrive at the target, we should already have about 8-15k+ threat upon arrival, even more if a D&D is dropped shortly before. if something does get away from us from the moronic mage attacking the creature 15 yds from you while you attack the other 3 mobs, a IT might prevent that mage from becoming a pretty floor decoration if dark command/DG are on cd or to make a pre-emptive taunt prior to silencing it thus assuring it comes to you...
so in essence its basicly a buff to inital burst aggro generation. how ever if we do happen to get into a situation where we need to generate more threat constantly, replacing your heart strikes/SS/oblit for IT when using death runes might end up with with a rotation that has a higher threat generation for single target... this might also be a good idea to when preparing to taunt off another tank, saving some runes to spam up to 4 IT to prevent the other tank from regrabing aggro if he is generating too much...
most of the above accounts for particular situations but overall it is a massive help, now if they would only add that effect to blood boil or howling blast i would be in heaven.
Feb 19th 2010 11:45PM "Death Knights: Icy Touch: This ability now causes a very high amount of threat while the death knight is in Frost Presence. "
this made me cream my pants.....
i just filled the cup
Feb 15th 2010 9:33AM maybe its my nature as a tank, or maybe its my nature as a blood tank[due to rep] but first and foremost I will never blame a healer for a wipe, with of course exceptions to some idiot healers that have tunnel vision and end up infront of marrowgar and then stand in his blue beam of lag..... yes im looking at you.... you idiot squishy priest...grrrrr
but i digress. tanks have it easy compared to healers, all we have to do is say 1.2.3 taunt.... while you are playing wack a mole.... and i dont know about you, but i have never won enough tickets from that game to win anything higher then a chineese finger trap. even when im cheating using the mallet from the game right next to me as well.
dps job to do damage and reduce their own damage by any means nessacary [including stopping their rotation or throttling back if threat is going to be an issue (you cant do any dps if the boss 1 shots you)]...
a tanks job to recieve damage coming from the boss and keep themselves alive by any means nessacary.
a healers job to make sure everyone survives to the best of their ability.
if someone dies then a.) someone stood in crap/wrong location/had a debuff that was not or could not be maintained/didnt interupt b.) they forgot to use/out of their safety cooldowns/pots c.) did not understand the fight. d.) heals were incoming however timing was off[possibly due to lag], E.) bad luck with RNG or F.) tunnel vision
now some fights...toc faction champs... the machanics are different... but personally if i die its due to something that happened about 3 mins before that while a minor mistake, ended up being a giant raid mistake. [dps dies early=boss enrage], healer forgetting to cont. healing tanks after gormok but b4 worms and 1 tank goes down and needs a b res, casting infront of ony's whelp cave on phase 3, forgetting to bite someone... the list goes on... its never a failure of 1 person, its a failure of a team effort and thats the way i have always viewed it... and the effort begins before the fight starts when your composing your raid.
