Shifting Perspectives: The druid personality test {WoW}

Jul 13th 2011 11:13AM 'The Bear Abides' is officially my new moto for life.

I'd wear it on a T-Shirt, srsly :|

Breakfast Topic: Do you actually do holiday events? {WoW}

Feb 7th 2011 8:55AM I'm really sorry if I am behind the times on this,
BUT I'm almost sure that 310% flying speed is no longer awarded from mounts after 4.0?
The only way for new characters to get it, is by buying the skill?

Or did I misunderstand the whole thing?
Will the violet Proto (and other achiev drakes) give 310% free?

That place is awesome enough to be made something important.

Also I would like to be able to run down there without fearing a ban.

Sep 24th 2010 5:08PM Where can I start a petition for Blizz to create the function that would allow players to sort their characters on login according to their own preference?
There are loads of folks who've asked for this over the years, the number of posts on all forums alone, I'm sure, reach into the hundreds.

Surely with all the fancy new stuff for cata they could trow us OCD folk a bone?

The OverAchiever: The 25 most entertaining achievements, part 1 {WoW}

Jun 24th 2010 11:40AM Also, I just forgot to add this:

I still go semi histerical whenever I see a drake egg, cuz of netherwing rep grinds.

The area in Coldara around the Nexus has me giving of a few banshee screeches every time I pass by there.

And did you know, the forge in Dalaran gives of the same smoke vapours as a netherwing egg? Now you know!! My mind has a 'go friggin crazy' switch that flips on every time I see that smokey vapour ANYWHERE, unfortunately.

Yeh I'm a real nutcase.

The OverAchiever: The 25 most entertaining achievements, part 1 {WoW}

Jun 24th 2010 11:35AM Oh this is a brilliant topic!!

And spot on with those achievs so far, well done.

As far as Bootertang goes, oh yell yes, 1 of the most fun quests in the game, the other being the similar problem solver according to orcs for dealing with lazy workers:
http://www.wowhead.com/quest=5441

And as for Keymaster, well...
Yes it is totally worth the effort. Just a shame that The Master's Key isn't among them, which is baffling. Mediv's very own key for his very own castle? comon!!
I remember the time when Kara atunement was a real big issue, and Durnholde and Black Morass was THE toughest dungeons around, in NORMAL mode. There was a time when no one even dared doing heroic Black Morass. So all my chars have gone through Kara atunement, even after it's not neccesary or entirely to easy to do (solo-able). It's just a matter of principle for me, just like getting the Illidari Trophy Tabard.

Lore is what makes the game so epic, so any achievement that allows you to see the rich lore so well, is a winner in my book. Well done on a great part-of-many article.

Breakfast Topic: I am hopelessly insane {WoW}

Jun 16th 2010 9:47AM ^THIS x 100000

I've heard stories told by vanilla hard cores, they tell of enhance shammies tanking 5 mans with rockbiter weapon and a shield...

Really wish there was a way that blizz could revamp enhance to be a shammy tanking tree, with lightning shield revamped to be tanking shield form *like druid bear form does). Even dw tanking as enhance would be friggin amazing

(I love tanking btw, that's my madness, and find myself unwilling to play a toon that can't be specced to tank. 6 lvl 80's collecting dust cuz they cant take a marrowgar cleave /sigh)

The Queue: In which Adam will surely upset the vocal minority, again {WoW}

Jun 8th 2010 5:41PM And yet, at least on my realm the following statement is true:

PuGgers in general come better prepared for raids, they know they will be kicked if they slack, so that makes sense.
PuGgers know tacts by heart, they know they will be kicked if they attack cleaving melee's, they know they can be replaced if they can't do their part.
PuGgers are *mostly* willing to travel the short flying distance between Dala and ICC, they know they can be swapped out for a more eager-to-please player.
PuGgers show up...
PuGgers bring consumables...
PuGgers bring their Game Faces...

Where as big 25man progression raids are falling appart because they recruit players who expect to be geared, enchanted, gemmed and supplied from guild stores, guildies expect to be 'boosted' through a lot of content....

PuGgers gear themselves, optimzed themselves, so they can defend the 'w achiev+GS+spec' hits they might get.

Now tell me, why should I hassle with slaccking guildies when I can PuG ANYTHING any night of the week, with groups that sweep through ICC without constant tact discussions on vent?

PuGgers Life 4 Me!!

Jun 8th 2010 1:21PM I'd personally like to say:

THANK YOU BLIZZ *balloons and streamers and fireworks* !!!!!!

For allowing me to see endgame content this time round, I'm pug tanking ICC 10 and 25 thanks to a gearing system that doesnt require me to be in a high end raid guild. I'm seeing endgame OSSUMNUSS that I never saw in BC, because my real life didn't allow for raiding 5 nights a week.

So here's to vocal minorities or w/e

I say thanks, I get to play all of WoW for once. And I love it :D
(PS: I don't think we ever say thanks enough, forums are alway ALWAYS overflowing with the nerdrage and the QQ-ing, I really think WoWers as a whole should show a bit of appreciation to the folks who gave us the OSSUMNUSS, regardless of whether we pay for it or not, cuz lets face it, WoW is pretty damn fantastic)

Kthxbai!!
