Breakfast Topic: Fear is the mind-killer {WoW}

Mar 16th 2010 9:20AM Oh no! Now we know that Mr. Rossi really is human!! *Gasp!*
I can't believe he made a mistake and it got through! That never happens!
Now I am disappointed...I thought all the writers here were perfect....

The Queue: In which solidarity is shown {WoW}

Feb 15th 2010 2:20PM I think they choose from them in this order:

1. Questions that have been asked the most.
2. Questions that are the easiest.
3. Questions in which the writer is most knowledgeable.
4. Questions they find very intriguing or interesting.
And if there are not enough of those:
5. Really good questions that they have to do a lot of research for.

AddOn Spotlight: Elitist Group, Page 2 {WoW}

Feb 11th 2010 9:52AM So, if I don't have a lot of experience in raids, then I shouldn't get this? I am very good at playing my class and I do a lot of research and a lot of testing with my toon. I am also geared, specced, enchanted, and gemmed very well. The last thing I want is a PuG to decline me an invite because it shows I have no experience in the raid.

Some of us are not in a hardcore raiding guild, but still wish to see end-game content. Does that leave us to PuG with groups that have no experience in the raid and have low gear?

If people actually used this addon right, it would probably be good. But, unfortunately, people nowadays only want their groups to have previously completed all content and have the best gear ever.

Patch 3.3.2: PvP healing change incoming {WoW}

Feb 2nd 2010 7:11AM @ Valkry

LOL, no kidding! Rogues with all their poisons and stuns and such, sometimes I'm dead before I get to move, even when I trinket out of the first stun.
(He probably got his relentless gear from VoA)

Patch 3.3.2: PvP healing change incoming {WoW}

Feb 2nd 2010 6:35AM If it's so easy, then maybe you should make your own WoW-type game.

There are people at Blizzard that are constantly testing, testing, testing. You can't say they implement something without testing it. It must be excruciatingly hard to balance this game. Whenever they balance something, people always find a way around it to make something else OP. It's just the way it goes.

Just be happy you are able to play this game and it is fun. If you don't like it, then quit.

The Queue: Missing in action {WoW}

Jan 30th 2010 1:46PM Yeah, you're right, I came off pretty harsh.

My real point was that the writers have already said they are tired of people asking the same questions that have already been answered, yet they continue to answer them. They could use that wasted page space to answer more questions that haven't been answered yet. It just seems like they are picking these questions because the answer is easy. I know they are doing a lot by providing us with news and info, and it's well appreciated. But why even run this column if they are just going to answer the same questions over and over again?

While they do know that there will be [minimal] changes to Outland and Northrend, they don't know any more than they have already put on display for us on this website numerous times. I understand that nobody is going to review all the past articles to find out answers, but maybe there is something else they can do. They could put a link at the beginning (or end) of each column that goes to all the cataclysm info they have put up, saying "any questions, click here"

The Queue: Missing in action {WoW}

Jan 30th 2010 11:23AM Refer to the last question in the article. It answers your question. Did you even read it?

The Queue: Missing in action {WoW}

Jan 30th 2010 11:19AM I really enjoy reading The Queue. It's usually funny or clever and sometimes provides some good information.

But lately, you guys have been picking a lot of stupid and/or repetitive questions. Especially the cataclysm questions. I commented on this before, and you guys put my question in the next weeks The Queue saying you don't enjoy getting the same question all the time.

Why do you keep putting the same questions in the queue?? Is it just because they are easy to answer since you have answered them before?

"Will the Cataclysm have any effect on Northrend, or will it be left alone?"
Here would be my answer if I worked for wow.com:

We DON"T KNOW! Please refer to the last 100 articles of The Queue as this question has been answered a dozen times before. Also refer to all the BlizzCon articles we wrote, the answer to your question is probably posted a dozen times there as well. When we know something else about Cataclysm, we will be sure to let you all know, so please stay posted!

I have seen a lot of good questions in the comments section go unanswered because you would rather post all these repetitive cataclysm questions.

Around Azeroth: Smoke and mirrors {WoW}

Jan 28th 2010 10:37AM "It's all perpetual dreams, this hidden life ain't what it seems
Walking dead we are
Victims of misfortune and lies, and tortured bringers of demise
Circling above like vultures

They reap the harvest that we sew and take, like trusting fools
Promising charade
All days now disappear from weeks to months, from months to years
Forever bound, shackled to the wall

The night falls, I've seen 1000 moons rising in the sky
The night calls, I feel the midnight as it slowly cloaks my eyes
Touched by the kiss of the sunrise

Live with shadows and fears--behind smoke and mirrors
Try to turn back the years--living inside smoke and mirrors

Sacred and serpentine, a hypnotizing twisted theme
Weaves our souls to roar
Like candles in the wind, our echoed cries above the din
Fade into this faceless sculpture

In the wheel of chance and fate, spinning as we watch and wait
A mystery to us all
On the edge of sanity, we tread the seas of destiny
Forever bound, silent voices call

The night falls, I've seen 1000 moons rising in the sky
The night calls, I feel the midnight as it slowly cloaks my eyes
Touched by the kiss of the sunrise

Live with shadows and fears--behind smoke and mirrors
Try to turn back the years--living inside smoke and mirrors

Live with shadows and fears--behind smoke and mirrors
Try to turn back the years--living inside smoke and mirrors

Ohh.....the night calls"
