May 24th 2010 8:54AM I really, really like this UI. Which addon is changing the player and target frame? Also, any chance of getting a .zip of your wtf folder so I can try this out without recreating the wheel?
Apr 28th 2010 2:32PM I've been a long proponent of a Brewfest quest where you pass out and wake up naked in an opposite faction city, with a buff making you neutral while you search for your clothes and some flowers or something to apologize to the person whose home you woke up in. The quest reward would be the ability to learn that race's language. I think it would be awesome.
Also, I think druids should be their own faction with their own language, but that's a topic for another thread.
Apr 26th 2010 10:15AM I think this is a really interesting concept. In a sense, it's the inverse of the current Hunter DPS scenario, whose highest damaging ability (kill shot) becomes available at the end of the fight. In the case of a Mage, the highest DPS will be front-loaded, since the beginning of the fight is where they will have the highest boost from Mana. It will make aggro management more challenging (though I don't think we need more aggro wipes...it will just be a matter of timing for ice block/invisibility). All in all, I'm pretty excited to see how it comes together.
Mar 23rd 2010 10:45AM Not really. The scan and price comparison features of Auctioneer aren't being reproduced, and that's probably the most useful parts of them.
Feb 9th 2010 6:38PM I'm guessing that maybe it's not a typo...you know, same sex relationships and all...welcome to the 21st century.
Jan 15th 2010 5:59PM As a tank and healer for my specs, I have absolutely *no* problem with a DPS who pulls too much threat, so long as they either get the job done without costing the healer a ton of mana, or don't complain if they die because I a) didn't taunt the mob back off them if I'm tanking or b)didn't give them heals because I'm focusing on the tank. I commonly refer to my basic rules when I get into a group (see https://sites.google.com/site/lfgrules/ ), and I don't think you'd have a problem with them, considering your mitigation and ability to dump aggro back.
I mean, honestly, if the DPS is distracting a mob for even 3-4 seconds before dumping aggro back onto my tank, it's really no different for me than Blessing of Sanctuary, except it might actually be more powerfully helpful, even if they die doing it.
Jan 15th 2010 12:28PM Honestly, I don't mind AotD when I'm tanking, and actually like it to be used on any bosses that don't have a facing issue. My reasoning? Well, I wait until the end of the AotD duration, and just as it expires, I hit the boss with Growl, popping my threat to an astronomical level and allowing the DPS to really open up the gas on the boss and burn him down without any fear of ripping threat off me. Honestly, Rage starvation might be an issue on a warrior, but I just powershift and enrage and I'm at about 60 rage in nothing flat.
