May 21st 2011 12:34AM Eh, digging back through my glyph book, a warlock could reglyph several times a night as the raid transitions between trash (fear glyphed if needed) and bosses (soulstone glyphed).
It could be a tough call for the raid lead to make based on the spec of the warlock and the fight. I play affliction, so I'm accustomed to having shadow bolt and soul swap glyphed for dps. The 3rd glyph tends to be utility, and right now that's shadowflame for HM Nefarian slows. Taking soulstone in to the HM Nefarian encounter could end up being a huge dps loss for the mind controls.
It will definitely be something I keep in mind for Firelands depending on the boss fights. Single target encounters obviously wouldn't need soul swap, but I don't think it would be best for a raid leader to have a blanket policy of forcing the warlocks to glyph soulstone at all times and yell at them if they do not.
May 20th 2011 9:48PM Warlocks do have Glyph of Soulstone, which increases health gained when rezzed by an additional 40%. However, as a major glyph, most warlocks would prioritize a dps glyph over the soulstone glyph.
Jan 17th 2011 11:16PM For Chimaeron - you'll want a full mana bar at 20% because you'll have no health pool to tap from for the burn phase as the healers will not be healing you. Any time you are over 30k health or so, tap back some mana so you can still dps at the end of the fight. Don't wait to run out of mana to life tap, be prepared.

Nov 2nd 2010 2:57AM Dropping down to 10 man raiding has one big drawback that nobody has mentioned yet - being the single representative of your class.
I raid with 2 other warlocks right now. On a progression night, we toss ideas around in lock chat about what is working and what isn't working for a particular boss. Where is the best place to drop our portals or when did you drink your pot and how did that work out for you? How many warlocks do you need on a 10 man run? Just one. When am I going to do my real-time analysis, with other individuals that know my class as well as I do, on a progression raid??
The current fear is that progression rankings will force leading 25 man guilds to stack 10 man teams to maintain #1 status. I can imagine this making raiding a lonely experience in this respect.

There are no 25 man achievements anymore. There is a single realm first per raid instance, and no way to tell if the boss was downed by a 10 man or 25 man group. This one thing alone is causing drama in our progression guild. We fear that we will be forced into 10 man raiding, even though most members prefer 25s, because realm rankings will be earned with 10 man groups.
Oct 26th 2010 1:48AM One thing I did not notice being mentioned is the Voidwalker's Sacrifice ability. If you do pull aggro, then pop a void bubble and it will help you live long enough to kill what's attacking you. Sometimes I'll hit sacrifice before I do a big pull and then I'll be in the clear to SoC spam down the trash before the bubble is gone.
