The Light and How to Swing It: Holy paladins are all about throughput {WoW}

Oct 31st 2010 3:53PM I dropped my t10 4 set bonus.. in my opinion having better stats in 277 pieces are far more valuable then 0.3 faster holy light which with regular procs is fast enough. Instead, I invested in some spirit and focused more on a FoL, HS, HL rotation.

I was beginning to really like the new Lay of Hands but Blizzard probably has their reasoning.

I think Druid healers can make amazing tank healers.. 3 dots that basically keep the tank up and an occasional single heal to make sure the tank is topped off. And regarding Paladins, FoL is great for raid healing.. as long as you have the reflexes to FoL, HS fast enough across the raid.

The Light and How to Swing It: How to heal before Cataclysm {WoW}

Oct 24th 2010 11:39PM I guess I am using the term padding the meters inappropriately then.. Judgment of light was a great heal but some healers believe holy paladins used it to boost their healing unfairly that is all.

The Light and How to Swing It: How to heal before Cataclysm {WoW}

Oct 24th 2010 9:40PM Light of Dawn does have significance. Its invaluable when the lich king casts infest. We have all range and melee stacked at certain occasions and the timer works perfectly for every infest.. and I instantly clear it off the entire raid. (hence boosting my healing on the meters immensely.)

In regards to flash of Light. It drains my mana way to fast but I do use it occasionally to save a dps that pulls threat. Mana regen right now for me is a serious hindrance. Other healers are going all out healing their hearts out not giving a dam about their mana. I was also used to this play style but no longer. I see myself focus healing tanks since beaconing the tank and healing raid is risky business now.

I find myself asking for innervates and mana totems since other healers/dps arent using them to allow me to keep up my heals. I must also add, that raid healers are starting to realize how much Judgment of light carried them. In regards to that, I am kind of glad it doesn't heal raid anymore as I did feel it was just a meter buffer and didn't add to my actual healing.

I am just tired of other healers looking down upon us holy paladins. They just do not realize that we are the first class that cannot faceroll heals anymore like we used to and therefore sacrifice "high meter scores" in order to actually be more efficient.

But I am stilling finding new ways to be more affective and keep holy paladins relevant.

Arcane Brilliance: Why I hate DPS meters {WoW}

Jan 24th 2010 4:24AM Dear WoW community,

This fellow blogger makes some valid points but I have to disagree to a certain level.. one I play a prot/holy paladin and I speed through heroics and I have no issue with threat. Tanks that complain about threat probably do not deal with 10k dpsers in raid. lrn2threat simple.. especially when this article is dedicated to LOW dpsers.. you shouldn't even have to worry about threat at all gosh.. and you feral druids lrn2swipe and taunt and stack ur dot.. this isnt BC anymore, you don't have to wait for threat gen, yell at your hunter/rogues if they are not misdirecting. ok.. besides tanking.. I believe most of the recount spammers are usually well geared players who want their daily frost badges.. HERE IS A TIP: Bring a well geared dps buddy with you if you hate slow heroics.. its that simple gosh.. If you are going to que up as a healer or tank do not expect fast runs.. especially if you have the patient title its even more embarrassing that you are posting meters..

Also in regards to Recount in Raiding.. it has to stop.. Most dpsers do not realize that heroic versions just make it 2 times harder for them and 10 times harder for the healers. Do you realize us healers are the ones that have to deal with the increased damage the bosses put out. And so many times I have seen dps die on Rotfest because they do not want to move out of slime spray.. or they don't want to kite the add.. oh because people are posting meters and its ruining the raid. I put forth the notion that on raid leaders and people with assist have the right to post meters in raid. Learn to hit the ENRAGE timer first then worry about maximizing your dps... I hope this added on to what Mr. Blogger had to say.. this can't be stressed more on fights like the deathbringer.. ICC requires dps to throw their dps meters away until they learn that bosses are not Tank and Spanks anymore. I blame Naxx for the downfall of raiding, this is why I quit.
