Cataclysm: Must find dungeons before they appear in the Dungeon Finder, attunements possible {WoW}

May 3rd 2010 10:02PM Attunements are fine just please for the love of god make sure they DONT involve the buggiest dungeon in the game!

Apr 30th 2010 11:35PM Well looks like i will need to update my PC this time around - well 5 years aint bad without changing stuff, need an upgrade anyways. New WoW + new pc = WIN!

Spiritual Guidance: Some shadowy notes from the Twitter dev chat {WoW}

Apr 22nd 2010 1:57AM Well i dont know what happened as i remember CCing right up till the end of BC. Magistraits Terrace was a great example of CCing making things easier, to an entire Boss fight around CC. Then Wraith came and i CCed no more and just pew pewed, and when ever i threw in a sheep or 3 in a fight people looked at me oddly and asked "What the hell are you doing n00b??". I do hope they bring CCing back in, in a big way cos as a mage that was my speciality, yeh i know we are pure dps............but that was what was expected. The sign of a good mage was being able to DPS, while moving out the flame and keeping that add sheeped. The same as a shadow priest, who would sometimes back up heal when things got sticky and keep the skelly shackled the whole fight. Tank and spank took up too much of the wraith trash pulls, TBH blizz should just hand us the frosties as the end result is 99.9% always the same result in a dungeon. At least in MT there was a 25% chance of wiping on trash.

Officers' Quarters: A friendly loot system {WoW}

Apr 19th 2010 10:09PM Like most of this article people seem to making a lot of assumptions. I hate comments like: "Ah that guy raids only twice a month so he is not dedicated to the guild". Why do you assume this? Maybe he has a job that is 2 on 2 off nights? Maybe he is a policeman etc. People please remember this is a game and some people havent got "normal" jobs. I am a high ranking office but have been working aboard for the last six months meaning that sometimes RL + Raid isnt always so good....does that make me any less dedicated? I still keep the website and forums updated. I still get on most days and help people with stuff giving them my metal, my gems and my time, just because i cant raid makes me undedicated??

Dont get me wrong DKP is a good system for a HC guild, but not always for a causal. Causal means exactly that.............causal. Maybe they should try something like the suicide kings system to me, works for both "dedicated" and causal raiders.

I would also say as well that it would be down to the RL to use some common sense as well. Is it really an upgrade? Or is it just the attack of Leetness? What is the rest of the guys kit like? What were they both replacing? If they were on evenish gear but 1 guy had a piece of ilvl200 to replace and the other guys was replacing a piece of 251 etc i may be inclined to try and talk sense with the guy with the 251 and point out that the ilvl264 is 2 of this stat, and 10 more sp and for the other guys is like +20/30 stats and 60 sp. However, if everything is still pretty equal its "LET THE BIGGEST ROLL WIN!!"

The Daily Blues {WoW}

Apr 7th 2010 1:36AM People do know that orc warlocks were the 1st to make death knights? Therefore DKs can still be about after Lich...........though ofc by lore standards orc warlocks shouldn't even be allowed in org and killed on site by other orcs but hey, there's lore and there's LORE. Just make sure the game is fun and still has some cool story that is maybe 75% lore fact and we'll be happy :D

Cataclysm dispel mechanics {WoW}

Apr 5th 2010 10:51PM I do wonder why blizzard are pushing for normalisation............why not have that you can choose to learn any 3/5 like profession etc, wouldnt that help for PvE Vs PvP etc. So then the priest who only does PvE can choose a, c, and d were as the Pally who only does a little PvE and mainly plays PvP can choose a,b and c. This also as far as im aware would make it a level playing field, and keep up with the lore side of things, as last time i checked most characters would be able to learn something like this.

Breakfast Topic: Disenchanting BoEs in dungeon runs {WoW}

Mar 29th 2010 12:15AM Really depends - 9/10 its a straight DE. However, if i happen to have an alt near that level or will be in a few weeks then i will usually ask if i can need (I have never had a problem with this or Vote kicked) this most the time is ok or if anyone looks like they will kick up a fuss (maybe like a few of the earlier posters) I will greed the item.

Or if money is tight

GREED GREED GREED ;)

Arcane Brilliance: Frost 101 {WoW}

Mar 14th 2010 6:44PM So does this mean ttw still procs or not - as the snaring affect is still there just not slowing much?

Rob Pardo speaks about Blizzard game design {WoW}

Mar 12th 2010 8:02PM I agree it would be nice but unfortunately you aren't always in the situation were publisher and developer is the same and you have the full backing.

Like with football you have the owner (publisher(the person with lots of money but not so good at making games)) overriding the manager (developer(people who know how to make games)) and as we all know this can lead to problems. And then there is nothing worse than being right - so in most situations the conversation goes like this:

Dev: X is cool and would work really well in the game

Pub: Nah we dont want.

Dev: How about Y?

Pub: Erm............maybe

1-3 years later

Critic: Would have been cool if the game had x and y.

And trust me this happens A LOT in game development.
