Dec 7th 2010 2:55PM Seems like a good idea, actually, similar to how the faction capitals have Inscription trainers that can be seen even without Wrath. If they have the technology to make it so that someone without the expansion can't train anything that requires it, then why not make the trainers more accessible? I think the old design was a relic of their old technology and trainer options, more than anything, and with the changes made for Inscription in Wrath and well, pretty much everything in Cataclysm, it makes sense to do away with it, since there really isn't a design reason for it.
Nov 30th 2010 3:14PM You're looking for a viewport addon. There are a couple that have been out there, but one I know is currently updated is Sunn Viewport Art - it lets you define the blank space and also fill it with art to take the space so it looks a little nicer.
Nov 2nd 2010 8:45PM In Cataclysm, at least in the beta, these cinematics are fully realtime. The game camera locks and letterboxes the screen, and you can see your character and the action occuring around your toon. They are pretty cool so far, and they sprinkle them throughout the questing so you can get a sense of things you wouldn't otherwise look for in the environment.
Jan 25th 2010 5:59PM As the Syl referred to in these comments, I approve :)
One other funny from our raids - one time in Ulduar, one of our mages had to take a bio. (his name is Maho. This will be relevant in a moment.) So we wait, 5 minutes, nothing, so we pull. It takes 45 minutes before he finally returns, to which someone says, "epic dump?"
To this day, when someone says they need a bio (usually on progression fights) we say, "just don't take a Maho."
