Race changes to worgen and goblins will be available on launch night {WoW}

Nov 22nd 2010 6:44AM Regarding anyone who's mentioned how sad it is that people will immediately race change to Goblin or Worgen, ergo missing out on all the quest-lines etc;
I will be faction and race changing my 80 Human Warlock into a Goblin. Why? Because I NEVER play her on Alliance, I have a guild on Horde that I would like to raid with, and Goblins are awesome.
That doesn't mean I won't roll another Goblin to try out the starting areas and the low level quest zones. Same with Worgen. I'll get to experience all of their awesomeness, but I'll want to play my awesome warlock again, and she'll have something to do.

"Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction and speculative fiction, frequently featuring elements of fantasy, that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s."

"Women wearing pants and having non-monarchy governments does not make a setting non fantasy."
No, but it DOES make it non-medieval, which is what Omacron's original point was.
WoW is not medieval
It is Steampunk
Which is Science Fiction

"floating interdimensional crystal ships"
Is not Steampunk.

Blood Pact: Mistakes other people make {WoW}

Jan 25th 2010 10:21PM I think this article is ridiculous. As a Destro lock with a couple of points in Fel Synergy, I have no trouble keeping my pet alive. My attacks heal it through any AoE troubles (even though it already has that avoidance ability) and a quick health funnel will bring it back up to full health within three seconds. Does it affect my dps? No, because the imp being alive is a major part of that.
I have always been told that Hunters are responsible for keeping their pets alive (not during boss fights obviously) and that Warlocks are responsible for keeping their demons alive. I've always taken this to heart, and on that note I feel responsible for keeping myself alive. If the healer won't heal me after a life tap, so what? We have drain life, death coil, and an endless supply of healthstones.
Warlocks are very very capable classes. We are our own batteries, we have crowd control to keep any stray mobs off us should our soulshatter cooldown be down, and those who have specced a certain way even have an AoE stun.
I'd say that anyone complaining about needing heals for their pet/for themselves after a life tap has either a really really bad healer or needs to learn to play their class.
