Dec 25th 2010 9:44AM My computer doesn't even HAVE a graphics card. Pick me. :(
Oct 6th 2010 3:30PM That is amazing. I'm in a public place and am getting some really strange looks because I'm cracking up.
Those flowers are excellent for causing the funniest wipes ever, actually. I was in Freya's room quite a while ago once and people were AFK. I was bored, so I hit my macro that strips my mage naked, yells SEXY TIME and casts mirror image so there are four naked trolls, right. Well, I was apparently a bit too close to some lashers, and three naked trolls ran off and pulled them and brought flowery fury down upon my mostly raid while one naked troll watched them in horror. Mirror images may have a sexy button, but they do not have a passive button.
Aug 7th 2010 2:10PM Karazhan and Ulduar. Mostly Ulduar.
Every time I go into Ulduar, I never want to leave because the ambience is so amazing. That includes the music, which is simply fantastic.
Aug 7th 2010 2:00PM As a tank, I have dropped group twice in the middle of a pull. Both of these times, I did not make the pull and was getting whined at about party members about me holding aggro. If I didn't make the pull, it's not an issue of me holding aggro -- it's an issue of me getting it in the first place, which tends to be more difficult than holding it. When people pull for me and are like "OMG HLOD ARGO N00B TANK," it's frustrating and occasionally I find that I just don't want to put up with it. When I leave group on a pull I didn't make, I don't feel bad about it; clearly, that other person has taken over tanking and it's just like a DPS leaving queue. And I never leave group on a pull I did make.
Of course, that's not the issue being talked about in the first post.
But I'd really appreciate it if people would understand that tanking can be an extremely frustrating job. Like many people have said, it's less fighting the mobs than fighting against your own teammates. Unlike teammates, mobs can't verbally abuse you or try to kick you. I think a lot of tanks tend to become jaded because of this.
Anyway, I really love tanking, but I tend to hate everyone while I'm doing it. With tanks, a little bit of respect goes a long way.
Jun 2nd 2010 10:50AM Yeah, I'd appreciate the ability to block entire servers too. I'd be happy to never run an instance with someone from Vashj again. That being said, I can see why they don't implement something on such a large scale.
May 28th 2010 5:54PM Keep the mage, respec Fire. I wouldn't have been able to stand leveling a mage if I had leveled as Frost, but as it is I'm leveling my second mage as Fire and loving it just as much as last time. It's an entirely different experience from Frost. Go Fire.
May 25th 2010 7:34AM This wasn't me, but once my raid was waiting in Heigan's room when suddenly the pugged hunter shot the boss and everyone died horribly. Everyone was yelling about it and the hunter was like "OMG SORRY MY BROTHER SAT ON MY KEYBOARD."
So basically some kid wiped the raid with his butt.
May 25th 2010 7:30AM There was quite recently a similar thread on the official forums, so I'll just copy and paste my response here.
I have a macro that strips my character naked, casts Mirror Image and yells SEXY TIME. All of a sudden, four naked trolls. It's usually a lot of fun.
Well, once my raid was in Freya's room in Ulduar, and a few people were AFK so I decided to hit my macro because I had nothing better to do.
Three naked trolls ran off at top speed and pulled a pack of lashers while one naked troll looked on in horror.
May 23rd 2010 3:55AM Correction: the cloak is terrible for an arcane mage. As a fire mage (I know, a rare breed), it's actually pretty nice.
But tier 10 should be a priority for any mage. I did a ToC10 run last night with another mage who was wearing the other frost badge gear, and at the end of the run she asked me why I was sustaining approximately 3k - 4k DPS higher than her, so I told her to get tier.
May 17th 2010 3:47PM Haha, I've been playing on CC for quite a while (for whatever reason, it's the first server I made a character on and I've never felt the urge to go elsewhere). It's a bit surprising to see my own server featured here.
That being said, it's hard to get into RP there if you don't look for it or know where to look. I still RP very little because I've never managed to integrate myself into the RPing community.
