Oct 27th 2010 4:24PM I got banned for not liking someone on my server. They went out of their way to report any post I made and apparently I was trolling when I said that a certain thread would last when it was obvious it wouldn't.
I would really love to post on the forums again. :(
Oct 17th 2010 10:22PM All of Azeroth is my RP hot spot.
Sep 27th 2010 12:04AM Player housing is silly, and this is coming from a hardcore RPer. I look at it this way:
You have a house and you want to RP in it. When you're RPing in your house, no one can come in uninvited. Because of this, you are removing yourself from the world, and from roleplay all together.
My character and her husband have an apartment in Silvermoon. It's not a physical house, we can't park our characters there, but it's a house. I know how the rooms are set up, where the kitchen is (like a good woman) and the story behind the tabard that hangs on the wall. It's a home for my characters, but when I'm RPing my toons, they aren't sleeping away their afternoon in their apartment, they are out and about. If you want to have a story line that involves a house or someplace exclusive, I would suggest writing out in a story instead.
Also, about Blizzard not supporting RP- I don't really agree with that all the way. It's not up to Blizzard to give us ideas for RP. Sure, they can enforce rules a lot better, mainly naming conventions and OOC talking, but other than that, Blizzard has given us PLENTY to use in our stories. It's not Blizzard who is creating the stories on our servers, it's us, the roleplayers.
Sep 14th 2010 7:22AM I wonder if shameless advertising is okay on WoW.com, none the less, The Roleplayer's Lament is a humorous site that deals with terrible RSPs (And character concepts), breaks them down MST3K style to give you a few jokes and offers advice to fix the mistakes present in the RSP/Character etc.
I'm sure if it's not okay to post here, someone will delete it, but it's worth a shot to bring the blog to those who would maybe like a little humor (and spite, according to my co-writer) with their discussion of RP.
Sep 2nd 2010 1:00PM The female blood elf was killing classic outdoor bosses from Classic WoW, the male was killing the bosses from the instances of vanilla wow, ending with KT. After he killed everything, he looks over to see the bosses of TBC.
You could interpret the video as you want, I just may be looking into it a little too much, but it seems to be the end of a story line, the end of a character. When your character has done all it can and you think it's finally over, BAM, there are more bad guys to kill, more things to do, more people to see.
Maybe the video in a response to how people complained that their hard work in Vanilla WoW was going to be wasted time thanks to TBC, but I don't know when it was made or how long it's been out.
Just my ideas, though.
Aug 17th 2010 6:07PM Maybe if I had this, I would actually start wearing make up.
Aug 13th 2010 10:00PM The one for Northrend is just breathtaking.
Aug 7th 2010 10:34AM I remember when Blizzard said they weren't out to get the ERPers but the OOC harassment that is happening in /Yell, /Say, general and yes, whispers.
They are going after off server level ones who are spamming racial slurs and harassing people. Not the people sitting in the corner quietly in party chat.
