World of Warcraft: Cataclysm still on track for a 2010 release date {WoW}

Aug 9th 2010 10:58PM If Cata misses the Mid November target, you can kiss Xmas sales goodbye and a release before 2011, that was part of the reason the BC was moved to Jan because they could not get it ready before Mid November. I would not be surprised if subs drop around and after the release as people have to choose between Star Wars release and WoW for their Xmas money purchase.

Official forum changes, real life names to be displayed {WoW}

Jul 6th 2010 4:49PM Think of it this way. In the past their privacy policy of not displaying your email address, prevented them from selling them to email marketing companies. Now that our real email address is exposed to everyone, that privacy is gone. So why shouldn't Blizzard make a buck off of selling their subscribers' email address.

Jul 6th 2010 12:37PM Can you say cha-ching! This is is a cash cow for Blizzard, 11 million email addresses to potential marketing companies, here comes the spam mail blitz. And even at a buck an email address, that has the potential for millions of additional revenue.

Time to get that third garbage email address.

Apr 22nd 2010 12:51PM Another Huntard moment.

Back in vanilla WoW, at level 60 you got Tranq Shot. Well, I was just starting to raid, and my first run thru MC, we get to Magdamar fight. The RL calls out the tranq shot rotation, and pipe up,"Tranq Shot?" I then get whispers from the other hunters laughing their butts off, and the RL whispers, 'Are you kidding?" Safe to say, I got Tranq shot right after that.

Mar 11th 2010 10:01PM "signs that World of Warcraft may finally peaked (again)"

Heard that when they hit 5 million, then at 7 million and again at 11 million. Honestly, when you have over a million Chinese still playing Vanilla and BC content and Blizzard is maintaining their subscription, I really don't think Activision has much to worry about.

Seriously, do you really think Activision is going to put in their SEC filing, "Everything is going F'ng great, and we will make a billion plus again!" No they will down play it, and set expectation low, so the can beat it. That is just being smart.

Feb 8th 2010 1:02PM It was busy due to the gold spammers, not the players.

Seriously, I was blasted by gold spammers for the hour I played on the average once every 3 minutes. That is bad.
