Dec 14th 2011 10:04AM Well yeah, but then I'd have mounts and a mount tab and I wouldn't have this little personal achievement:
Some people level melee hunters, some people level without killing, for me it was getting to 85 without getting a mount that wasn't a spell. Running Wild took care of ground mounts and Flight Form lets me fly without a cast time.
Dec 13th 2011 4:07PM Ugh, really? I gotta transform my mount for the Ogri'la quests? I'm really proud so far that as a worgen druid, my mount is myself and my wings. I was able to transform my ground mount (running wild) into a ram for brewfest, thankfully, but I guess I'll find out in a couple of days.
If not, well.. I guess that means I'll finally be able to use all those mounts cluttering up my bank, I guess.
Jul 13th 2011 12:37AM Wait, the wounded defenders didn't _always_ spawn with full health before taking their damage and falling down? SHENANIGANS!
Jul 9th 2011 12:23AM I wonder how common worgen druids with no mounts are. I'm still kind of pleased by this: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/whisperwind/Beyotamer/mount
And I know at some point I'll get one for an achievement or a rare drop and I'll be torn about whether to use it or just tuck it in my bank.
May 2nd 2011 7:50PM re: nervous tanking-
At least as a tank you have some control over the pace of the run, too. I figured I'd just quest to 85, pick up the best gear I could and run random regular dungeons on my healer until I got the hang of the new healing style. But every single dungeon I've done since I hit 85, I guess the tank looks at my character and makes a beeline for the first boss, casually tapping mobs on their shoulder on the way past figuring that'll hold their interest. Inevitably it turns into a chaotic mess from there and the tank goes "I THOUGHT WE HAD 85 HAELZ LOL" when we all die a painful death.
*sigh* So I'm leveling up Yet Another Druid, and now that he's in his 60's with Lifebloom, I'm kind of figuring out post 4.0 healing the slow way.
Apr 22nd 2011 10:32PM Any word on whether there are any talent wipes this time around, or are they just removing the requirements and changing the effects, so we won't have to respec on Tuesday night?
Apr 22nd 2011 10:31PM I've been told that tanks _hate_ some of our flying pets because they tend to cover the mobs and the tank ends up clicking on our pet instead of the mob. But that was back in BC, I haven't played my hunter in groups enough lately to hear if they're still grumpy about that.
Dec 31st 2010 3:05PM oh what the hell, it'd be my third one. The original "Blizzard" one, something kind of reddish, and then this? they're collectable!
Dec 28th 2010 8:10PM Yeah, I still try to be helpful, but cripes, it's like a lot of people act like they don't have a chatbox. Or they purposefully misunderstand the suggestion. As a healer, it gets so very under my skin when DPS manages to get aggro (honestly or through stupidity, I don't judge - it happens) and instead of dropping their new friend under the tank's nose, they haul ass for the instance entrance. COME BACK HERE THE TANK CAN'T HIT IT AS LONG AS YOU KEEP RUNNING AWAY FROM HIM AND I CAN'T HEAL THE BOTH OF YOU and *boom* *dead dps* "Attacking you!" pops up and I hope the tank can generate a shedload of aggro post haste-y. The first time it happens I suggest bringing the mob up to the tank, and the DPS acts like I'm daft. Listen, I'm the healer, I know full damn well about getting a mob off you, coz I'm always getting the late adds through healing aggro. If I didn't know how to dump mobs on the tank, I'd be dead multiple times over.
Thankfully, people seem to figure this out around 40. Still wishing people wouldn't go to the GY in dungeons while the healer is still alive, though. You have a rezzer right there! He's called your healer! It's going to take you a good 5-10 minutes to figure out how to get back to us, and hopefully the respawns haven't started or you're kind of boned.
I wish there was a more formalized system for putting up a "I know a lot about the game across multiple classes, if you aren't certain about something, ask me" type flag, coz I really do like helping, and I'm the antithesis of the usual quiet RDF guy. And I will say, playing multiple different healing classes through dungeons, you see a lot of variety. When you play a DPS class, you almost never see other people playing your class so you don't have any reference points. But your tank and healer have seen a _lot_ of people playing your class, so while they might not know the finer points about everything, they'll catch the broad points. Hunters without pets. Warlocks running dungeons with their voidwalkers. Etc.
Dec 7th 2010 4:43PM Only about 100 days across my 80's, didn't bother with all my little nublets though.
