Breakfast Topic: Gender in WoW {WoW}

Dec 31st 2006 11:59AM of my 5 toons, 1 is male (my first toon) and the other 4 are female. I am male. My previous gaming was mostly NWN and I played both genders equally. There are a lot reasons most of my WoW toons are female, one - if I have to follow someone for 2-6 hrs at a time, I'd rather be following a female form...the other is I like the idea of say a little female gnome mage that can wreck havoc on some monstrosity 20 times her size. One of our guildies plays a female gnome warrior (he's male) and it is hilarious to watch her in battle.

It is mixed in our Guild, some guys playing only male toons, some playing only female and most playing a mix.

Oh, and I do notice a major difference in how I am received by others (outside the guild) who do not know me when I am playing a female toon. It is actually both funny and pathetic at the same time the way some male toons fawn over female toons, I love to show my wife when some lvl 30 Human Rogue Male is offering my priest gifts and making all sorts of "small talk".

I am also convinced that 90% of female nightelf toons are played by 13-15 yr old boys.... :D

Queues rearing their ugly head more frequently? {WoW}

Nov 13th 2006 2:52PM yeah, we started seeing queues on Khadgar about 2wks ago. I've not been queued yet but several guildies have had issues- up to 45 min waits at times.

Breakfast Topic: Voice Chat {WoW}

Nov 7th 2006 1:19PM don't want to be without our TS server. not only does it make raiding/questing much easier - it is the social glue that holds our members together even tho we have members running in two guilds - yeah, playing wow without TS (or vent or skype...) would be like bird hunting without a dog - you can do but it just ain't the same thing...

Fact or Fiction: The Horde attracts the more mature player {WoW}

Nov 6th 2006 1:19PM I have heard/read this tripe from the very beginning and can only say balderdash! I play all alliance characters and believe me...I am probally in the top 5% age wise in the game...most of people I play with are all over 30 and far from being griefers or children. I know far more kiddy hordies...
I would agree with xfr3386 that this is a bunch of bs from elitests playing horde character... just my 2cents of course

Clever and eye-catching title {WoW}

Breakfast Topic: How Do You Choose a Guild? {WoW}

Oct 30th 2006 2:43PM next to finding a spouse, this is the most important decision you will be making. just answering general chat spams is as risky as buying a new bride from BFE...

I know I spend way too much time in game and wih my guildies, so it's important to me to make the best choice I can in the people I choose to associate with.

seriously.

Shadow priests have a website to call their own [Update] {WoW}

Oct 25th 2006 12:30PM it's true...Shadow Priests rule. However they are misunderstood by the unwashed masses and often forced into healer roles they neither want nor are geared for, hence their propensity to melt faces...
