May 25th 2011 1:32PM So, what, Neptulon has no opinion about Ragnaros or Al'akir and their alliance with Deathwing? Shoddy, poor excuse for an answer. Neptulon deserves a little more (especially since Therazane is such a prominent figure for now).

First, I really, really, really hate the "login" process on this site. It never keeps me logged in, and now my original response was deleted. Ugh.
Anyway, thanks for the info on Wowpedia, but it's not quite what I was looking for. It relates to the Demoniacs of the Zandalari, who were *already* warlocks before being Demoniacs (which kind of is a nod toward the old Demonic Sacrifice talent, and the new Demon Soul ability).
More what I'm getting at is that, for orcs, we know that Gul'dan's actions caused orcish warlocks. For humans, gnomes, blood elves and undead, it's either implied or explicitly stated that corruption of mages caused their warlocks. Dwarves seem a mix of the two. Trolls are a different animal altogether. Was it a pact with the loa? Was it because of the Old Gods? What actually allowed them to BE warlocks and summon demons? That's mostly what I'd like to know.
Lastly, thank you re: the blog. :)
Be that as it may, the Demoniac's Raiments and the lore around that state very clearly trolls had warlocks during the Gurubashi Empire, predating blood elves and undead, and before orcs were around on Azeroth. Unfortunately, I don't really think that has much to do with it.
May 25th 2011 12:32PM A question, if you will indulge me.
Is there any lore on troll warlocks laying around? If so, can you point me in the right direction to find it?
May 25th 2011 10:36AM You forgot the unlisted racials:
Female dwarves have Twirling Braids™
Female draenei have Waggle™
Also, I don't know if this applies to melee as well, but technically, Berserking is actually more haste overall than Time is Money when used on cooldown (and full effect can be achieved).
As well, though the Rocket Jump is nice, Da Voodoo Shuffle also helps with various snares in both PvE and PvP (see, Al'akir's Frost Patches, Conclave's Ice Patches, Chains of Ice, Frostbolt, Slow, etc.). It's perhaps not as good as stun reduction, but even that is pretty situational, and even better, it's always on, as opposed to a two-minute cooldown on the Rocket Jump. It's also entirely possible that Berserking could help with snap threat on a pull, too.
May 23rd 2011 5:12PM Shadow Gale has a fairly long cast time (Eregos will have time to move), and is channeled (Enrage -> Arcane Barrages). The only thing that Eregos will really have to watch out for is Binding Shadows, and he should still be able to move from that, too. Even if he gets hit with it, the damage is fairly negligible to him (or I imagine it would be). Erudax has so much damage that's just purely avoidable, there's really no reason Eregos *shouldn't* win.
May 23rd 2011 4:40PM Also, I completely forgot to mention. Given Eregos' health pool, and the damage of Binding Shadows and Shadow Gale themselves, it's minimal damage to him at best, and could potentially be ignored.
May 23rd 2011 4:38PM Eregos' adds totally wipe out Erudax' adds. They're too concerned about hatching eggs, and the flying pink balls of doom *HURT,* and can completely counter Shield of Nightmares. However, since they do, in fact, explode, if Erudax isn't in range, it really doesn't matter.
Two key things to remember: Shadow Gale leaves Erudax completely vulnerable to damage, while Eregos can't be damaged during Planar Shift.
With wise usage of Enraged Assault, I honestly don't think Erudax stands a chance against Eregos.
No mention of Eregos' whelps, however, which cause a whole other layer of issues (again, countering Erudax' adds, and additional dps time on Erudax, especially during Shadow Gale).
May 23rd 2011 4:07PM Well, I certainly appreciate it. Thank you. :)
May 23rd 2011 3:35PM o.o Holy crap, I never expected to see my blog end up here!
Apr 22nd 2011 2:10PM This hits terribly close to home for a recent issue in our own guild... (actually, a husband/wife relationship, where they are actually filing for divorce). This is really sad to hear, but I do hope that things work out. It sounds like you've got a chance to get things set straight, and I hope you do.
