May 26th 2010 11:14PM The same guy won the show three years in a row, I think it's time to put Idol put to pasture now. Someone go ask Kris Allen how much being the American Idol helped him - I heard he moved back to Arkansas.
Apr 11th 2010 12:34PM Glad to know I either need to roll a new main or quit playing when Cata drops.
Mar 16th 2010 12:50PM Yes, the BC heroics were harder than H HoR. But people played differently in BC.
And I see very little whining on this post except from the elitist OMG HOR ISN'T THAT HARD U PPL JUST DONT REMEMBER WHAT BC WAS LIKE folks like you.
Mar 16th 2010 12:44PM Oh, I remember heroic MgT. I hated that too. Healing it when nobody knew what they were doing was the biggest pain in the ass ever. People weren't better players then, trust me.
Mar 16th 2010 12:36PM I usually leave H HoR if I get popped in to it. It's not worth the trouble to heal it, and even if I pop Barkskin on every wave or as soon as it's up, I still end up getting killed by stray mobs that the DPS pulled off the tank and the tank didn't get back yet. And if I pre-hot the tank, they just come straight for me... But if I don't, someone else dies (usually due to their own lack of ability to follow kill order) while I'm filling his health bar back up,
I also hate the "cram yourself into a corner and pray nobody leaves line-of-sight" strategy. It's boring and overly stressful. Compared to a H HoR run, Oculus or Old Kingdom are practically fun. :|
Feb 15th 2010 2:17PM When I need something, I advertise in Trade like this: "LF (whoever) to do (whatever), my mats + (x)g tip." The amount's usually 10-15 gold depending on what I'm looking for, and I usually get multiple whispers right away. And I always offer to come to where the crafter is - my main's a mage so getting around is horribly easy.
Feb 10th 2010 2:17PM Don't get too angry over your $6.50 or whatever chump change an authenticator costs - the physical key is more secure than a phone that connects to both your computer and the internet.
Feb 6th 2010 4:29PM I don't buy the "leveling teaches you to play the class" BS. Playing my druid in the "old world' was DRASTICALLY different than playing her in Outland and Northrend. Same for my mage and my paladin. The pally's holy/prot, the druid's resto/balance - healing and tanking old-world instances with the dungeon finder is enough to make you want to kill yourself on my battlegroup.
I didn't actually start learning the real class mechanics and how they worked in any significant way until content that was at least mildly relevant to current gameplay - BC heroics and regular Wrath dungeons. The 1-58 levels are obsolete as anything but a time sink. And to those who say it only takes a week to do that leveling - Sorry, but I actually leave my house every day for this thing called work that grown-ups have to do.
Bad players are bad whether or not the game forces them to be bad for 80 levels or just for 25.
