Not 3 million. They lost 1.1 million subscribers. They still have 10,000,000 subs which is millions more than the second most popular subscription based MMO.
They never ran a smear campaign. Infact the president of Blizzard was quoted as saying something along the lines of they welcome a new player into the AAA MMO field and hope it introduces more customers to MMOs. They were never competitive with Bioware.
"My friend in the industry." Well my friend in the CIA says you don't have friends in the industry and that friends aren't credible sources.

"Mushi mushi Dreamworks, this is Blizzard speaking. We would like to remind you that Warcraft III came out long before Kung Fu Panda."
Jan 23rd 2012 10:45AM @Mujokan: You jerk! Did you even read the article?!
@Mujokan: Yeah! You tell him Mujokan! Mujokan is a passive aggressive jerk! Thanks for clearing that up with that Mujos, can I call you Mujos?

You'd be surprised. They get paid very little most of the time unless they are recognizable talent. In some cases the voice actor gets paid per word.

There are ups and downs to everything. Including business. Resources are limited no matter how much money a company may have. I am sorry that you feel they aren't giving something you like the treatment it deserves but that doesn't mean an entire company is an evil corporation out to take over the world.
Black and white thinking is unhealthy, not productive, and ruining the gaming community as a whole. I understand you are upset but there are other things the company is doing right in place of it's faults. No company or person is perfect including my self, you, EA, Mythic, or Bioware.

I am a Computer Science major that primarily uses Macs for everything, including gaming, and I can enjoy games just as much as you can.
Quit over generalizing, you're all like fun nazis or something.
I would rather hang out with a liberal arts major than a bunch of debbie downers like you!

If you don't like the tie in games than don't play them. Then your precious source material won't be ruined, the published will make more money off of its sales and spend it on the next flagship installment.
Warlocks are mushrooms and that's economics.
