Dec 15th 2010 11:17AM I enjoyed the cut-scenes with harrison jones in uldum. There were things going on that would have gone unnoticed if I was in control, and not paying attention to the right part, or were too big to see at all with the normal camera.
My problem came when there were cut-scenes for ordinary conversations, which are fine while just standing near by and reading. On top of that there was at least one where the camera was forced away from the conversation and I couldn't even read it.
Oct 15th 2010 10:29AM This is exactly the issue. Seems people just want different names for existing classes really. I think the real solution for those looking to add classes to better fit their RP is to instead just use different names to identify themselves in different specs. Examples:
Enhance Shaman - "Battle Mage"
Demonology Warlock/Undead DK - "Necromancer"
Marksmanship Hunter - "Ranger" you could easily go without a pet for RP purposes
That being said though, there definitely could be room for some new niches, but they would likely have to combine several of these proposed classes to make sense, like DKs (Lorewise: Death Knight + Runemaster + Necromancer = WoW Death Knight)
Oct 15th 2010 9:51AM No, warlocks are pretty close. How would necromancers be any different"
Aug 30th 2010 9:48AM Many religions worshiped the sun as a god too. Calling it a god doesn't make it a god.
Aug 30th 2010 9:19AM A powerful being that is mortal (we killed them) is not a god. Most of the cited gods appear to be large scale aliens at best.
As for the powers that every player wields on a regular basis, they could be attributed to physics in the Universe where Azeroth resides. Sounds weird, I know, but these abilities are not by any means rare (even the simplest npcs throw magic around) which would be necessary to attribute them to some divine power.
Aug 26th 2010 12:18PM In the beta, do hunters still auto-target when their target dies? I'm sure it works fine for melee classes (with their small ranges) and it doesn't happen with caster's, but it has caused some trouble with the long range of my hunter.
Or is this "working as intended (TM)"?
Apr 7th 2010 2:03PM The biggest thing that gets me though is that before deciding on the "every tree can tank" experiment, frost was going to be the dedicated tanking tree (The reason why frost presence became the tanking "stance"). And now that Blizzard is actually giving DKs a dedicated tree, they pick one that was intended for DPS from the beginning. This along with all the mitigation in the frost tree makes their choice confusing to say the least.
If they insist on having a DW spec, couldn't they put the necessary talent(s) near the top of a tree so any spec could grab them and then go deep into another tree?
