Sep 12th 2010 7:58AM Because by the time you start doing L85 heroics anything you obtained (and gemmed) pre-cataclysm will probably be a complete let down for the rest of your gear? And the greens you hit 85 in are very unlikely to have gem slots? Not to mention gear itself contributes far more to a stat than your gem slots.

Blizzards design goal:

Prime glyphs provide unambiguous damage/healing/survivability/threat/etc increases without changing rotations.

Major glyphs provide dps etc. increases in creative ways, or provide utility. From what I've read they want glyphs to be for tweaking and don't want them to change rotations at all.

Minor glyphs are there for visual effects or convenience or "fun".

I'm assuming the glyphs in the article are all Prime glyphs, so wait till you see Major glyphs =)

I'm hoping Major glyphs are "flashy" as you put it.. not that I care all that much bout warriors =P Paladin ftw! Having said that after a year and a half of playing my nearest character to 80 alt is my 66 warrior \o/

Sep 5th 2010 4:21PM Why not? Innervate and Mana Tide as mentioned in the article are better mana return (I'm trusting the writer here, not sure on the numbers) than Divine Plea. As also mentioned Innervate can be used on anyone in raid, and mana tide affects 5 people. Neither of these have an adverse effect, why should Divine Plea?

Why not GBlessing of Might him then use a Lesser Wisdom on yourself?

Glyph of Blessing of Wisdom gives it the exact same duration (and obviously it provides the same regen) as the "Greater" version.

Even without the glyph I wouldn't condone slacking on buffs in a Holy Paladin column just because you would have to refresh it every 10 minutes.

Raid Rx: What's up with these location healing spells? {WoW}

Aug 26th 2010 6:08PM What are you basing this on? They're all aoe heals?

In that case we need to make dps classes different, they all have single target attacks, and aoe attacks!

Look at the differences (in terms of mechanics and gameplay) between the listed spells. Healing Rains and Holy Word: Sanctuary are the only ones similar to each other.

LoD is a conal heal (unique :o)

PW:Barrier is a cooldown aoe.

Efflorescence is procced randomly (on crit heals), thus not directly targeted by the druid (indirectly via who s/he heals + crit chance).

Healing Rains and HW:Sanctuary are similar, in that they can both be placed at will with 100% uptime, the only difference is that Healing Rains can only be moved every 10 seconds, while HW:Sanctuary can be moved every GCD.

N.B. Can someone please clarify whether or not Chakra could maintain 100% uptime, meaning HW:Sanctuary could do the same? Am not entirely clear on the mechanics of Chakra. If it cannot (or should not because of playstyle) have 100% uptime then this separates Healing Rains and PW:Sanctuary to an extent, however they would still similar.

TL;DR: Compare the spells in question before you make a post implying their similarity.

Aug 23rd 2010 1:36PM How is the idea dumb? Personally I don't see any gaping flaws with it.. far as I'm concerned that means at the very least it'll work ^^

Functionally it'll be the exact same as the current system, but without the "trading down" of emblems.
