Dec 23rd 2010 7:49AM Why do you say that rogues are the best?
I have a protection warrior and an assassination rogue, and I prefer my warrior's Shield Bash to my rogue's Kick. The Shield Bash isn't on GCD, lasts 6 seconds, and dazes for 3 seconds. The Gag Order talent gives it a complete silence (not just same school) for 3 seconds.
Am I missing some important talent or glyph on my rogue?
Apr 14th 2010 4:19AM I'd like to see Demo Shout continue to affect only Attack Power. I like that it doesn't reduce damage from casters, making casters an interesting case that deserves special attention.
Mar 16th 2010 3:47AM You're comparing absolute numbers, instead of proportions. The DPS climb is 20% in TBC and 30% in WoTLK. Given that WoTLK has been a bigger expansion, I don't see what the fuss is about.
Mar 8th 2010 9:55AM Honestly, I'd be fine with a World of Warcraft in which other tanking classes pushed me aside in the AoE role, _if_ it meant I was the obvious choice for boss face offs.
That is not the case.
What's disappointing is to find that I'm up against players whose characters are at least as good as mine, at everything mine does, but with more role flexibility (2 of them can heal) and better performance in my only other role (DPS). I thought I was sacrificing flexibility and off-spec effectiveness for an edge in the tanking slot.
To be clear, I don't think my warrior sucks. I just think I pay a premium that doesn't provide a great return. If I could start again, I'd never in a million years pick a warrior. I think _that's_ what Blizzard isn't hearing.
That said, I'm fortunate enough to be part of a guild with a shortage of tanks at my tier, so I'm enjoying my warrior regardless.
Feb 16th 2010 6:45AM How awesome would a player reputation system be, eh?
Feb 16th 2010 4:42AM "Posting a list like this does not help! Any DPS reading these posts could come up with a list of things that tanks shouldn't do."
Nonsense. Posting a list like this _does_ help. It helps people who're looking for ideas on how to increase their value in what amounts to a team sport.
And so what if you _could_ post a list of things that tanks shouldn't do? The fact that such a list would be valuable doesn't detract from the value of a list of things any other role shouldn't do.
When I got to this artical, as a tank, I dipped straight into the comments to see what kinds of concerns and frustrations DPS face, and to pick up tips on how to help. I think I learned a lot.
Feb 16th 2010 4:20AM Opposing roles? There's the problem, right there.
None of us are in opposing roles. We're in complimentary roles, all working together (well or not) against... erm... the environment. ;-)
