Jun 5th 2010 5:01PM Power Auras is great for enhance shammies with all the things we need to keep track of. I also do 5 separate auras for Maelstrom stacks, except for mine I use the shaman symbol and I line them like combo points. The first 4 are blue and the 5th is red and pulses. I also have an aura for my lightning shield that pops up when the shield falls off.
One I highly recommend is a flame shock aura. I made one that has a fire image with the seconds left on the debuff below it. You could always use the FS/ES macro but I prefer watching it myself so I have the choice when I only need burst.
Jun 2nd 2010 8:08AM This is actually the first UI from this column that I've really liked in a long time. It's very clean and readable while still having personal touches that make it his. I don't normally like SexyMap either but it fits with everything else. I also like the different greys with the runes colors--it's some color but not too much.
@Nez. Good raiders actually use their utility spells and thus have lots of buttons. I also think it's funny how addons have made some people feel like their graphic designers. Everything does not have to be centered with everything else. The unit frames aren't awkward at all, and putting them there actually moves your eye up and out and leaves more space around your character to be able to see important fight mechanics. It's all about how much information you like to see to play your best, not what some wannabe designer says about having 5 buttons because he's "efficient."
Mar 14th 2010 11:20AM Nice article! I like that you included pvp glyphs as well.
Also, Stoney looks badass as a troll! I think face paint is a must for shaman.
Mar 3rd 2010 6:33PM I love TV on the Radio! As soon as I heard the beginning of the song I was like "Yes!!"
Feb 16th 2010 11:35AM Fading out bars with something like Bartender also frees up a lot of screen space. I fade out things like the menu, a bar with all of my consumables and little-used totems, and other things I don't need to see in combat but like to have available.
