Oct 25th 2010 12:24PM People screwing up are frustrating, but not half as frustrating as people not putting the effort in their character and showing up ungemmed or gemmed completely wrong, unenchanted and with a stupid spec. I generally try to help them out to a certain extent, even to the point where I buy a couple of gems for them to get them started. But if there is no change after that, that is where my Elitist Jerkism kicks in, and I simply cannot be bothered to take them along in raids anymore.
So yes, the person complaining earlier about others telling him/her to replace their Rare quality gems: you should know better, and they are in their right to judge you for not putting in enough effort.
May 31st 2010 1:17PM As for the issue with the Battered Hilt, there's bound to be people upset no matter what you do. The buyer is obviously happy since he got a nice 4k bargain on the item, it's none of other people's business and they would probably not simply give it away to just anyone within their guild, just to the people they like the most.
If for example you gave it for free to person X, then person Y who would be raiding and therefor using it "for the guilds progress" could feel passed because he/she "deserved it more" than a more social member. All in all, stick to whatever you decided at the start, and don't let others guilt you into something that doesn't feel natural to you.
Apr 14th 2010 11:16AM As a bear tank, I'm just going to have to QQ about this. I'm kind of underwhelmed about the CC that Cataclysm will bring to bear tanks and I simply have a Tauren paladin in my head now that can silence with Avenger's Shield, stun single mobs with Hammer of Wrath and undead targets with Holy Wrath. Getting an added Blinding Shield ability for more temporary AoE damage reductions and a possible added Warstomp racial ability they can actually USE during tanking. Yeah, I'm quite jealous of all the CC abilities protection paladins are going to have, and even though I'm very happy being a feral tank, I really think these kind of abilities need much more balancing.
I'm a little worried that Blizzard seems to be actually giving the abilities a feral tank would need to paladins that actually already have similar abilities.
Feb 28th 2010 8:16AM Blackrock Depths of course. As a TBC player I have spent far too less time here and have lately only been able to catch up with some quality time in this dungeon through the random dungeon tool, even though it's still faceroll-mode with the current type of character-abilities. The sheer size of this place is amazing and it would be great to just be able to spend an evening in this place on off-raid nights (5 players). Since I suppose revamping the place isn't nearly as much work as creating a complete new instance, this would be a salute to all the developers that have put work into desiging the original.
Feb 17th 2010 12:53PM Pretty nice informational post for starting bears. One thing though: I HATE POLEARMS. I really, really hate them. The stats can be great, but give me a Staff or even an oldfashioned 2H Mace and I'm happy. Let those crappy polearms rot in the hands of Hunters. Fashionable bear FTW.
