Voice-chat and women who play WoW {WoW}

Oct 9th 2007 5:46PM I am unimpressed with the general level of social graces displayed by men who discover women playing WoW.

Having said that, all joking aside, can you please put up a link to the picture of the headset girl in this article, I MUST have it, or at least know where you obtained it.

Thanks in advance

BigRedKitty: Five of the top ten things every class should know about hunters {WoW}

May 16th 2007 12:54PM After healing heroics for some time now, sorry, I'm not going to let you walk around with 50% health. No, you can't take a couple of hits from THOSE mobs. Our hunter is routinely one-shotted from heroic mobs even with full health when they crit. So, sorry, I don't buy the "don't heal the hunter" business.

Tier gear and you {WoW}

May 8th 2007 1:02PM Well the hallowed set for healing priests has pretty crappy bonuses as well. A tiny increase to the healing for binding heal? Does anyone ever cast that spell?

Confessions of a casual gamer {WoW}

May 4th 2007 1:10PM @21 you are mistaken. Time raiding does not equal time farming/crafting in terms of producing similar epics, not by a long shot. If it did, everyone would raid for "4 hours" and have their tier 6 set by now.

Confessions of a casual gamer {WoW}

May 4th 2007 1:06PM I think #15 is onto something. As a former raider, I would say a vast majority of the motivation behind raiding is loot, plain and simple. Sure, lore and seeing new content is pretty cool, but take away the loot and most raids would not happen. Why? Because you don't just need 25 bodies, you need 25 geared and skilled people willing to make a huge time-sacrifice.

Most of us enjoy watching our characters progress, remember the joy you get when you hit a level, especially the higher ones? Once you hit 70 was it a let down?

I know the casual guild I am in right now will only take me so far, but it is way more fun to play with them than hardcore raiders.

Unfortunately, the itch to increase the size of my e-peen will eventually take over and I, like so many others, will join a hardcore guild. I will probably burn-out again (healer burnout sucks) and start the whole cycle over with my old casual friends.

2.1 PTR changes to PvP gems, Mongoose {WoW}

May 1st 2007 2:12PM Not that it helps that much at all, but doesn't higher int translate into higher spell crit chance so that, over time, the difference in damage will not equal the full 34?

Breakfast topic: Whoops MT {WoW}

Apr 30th 2007 9:37AM My wife started playing recently and is still getting used to the chat system. She didn't realize after saying something in guild chat, the next message would default into guild chat. So she told the whole guild something about how much she loved me. Cute, but embarrasing.

Ask WoW Insider: Heroic instance difficulty {WoW}

Apr 27th 2007 4:26PM The only heroic I've tried is slave pens, which is not bad right up to the final boss. We still haven't been able to down him, I suspect, because we need a great deal more Nature Resist than we currently have.

Anyone able to down the final boss in slave pens have any suggestions?

PTR Notes: Climb every mountain {WoW}

Apr 26th 2007 11:24AM Why would you think only 1% will be hardcore enough to even see the content?

The vials of eternity are hard to get, but by no means impossible, and unlike previous content, you do not need 40 people to do it. I've heard numerous stories coming out of SSC already, which means people are coming close to their first vials already. Do people think the EYE will be that much more difficult?

An organized raiding guild should be able to see mount hyjal before the next expansion, even assuming it will be out next January, which is just dreaming if past trends continue.

Breakfast Topic: Why do you keep playing? {WoW}

Apr 20th 2007 8:16AM Believe me, as a holy priest, there is very little incentive to keep playing, especially after Drysc's most recent posts about being happy with priest healing.

I am just about burnt-out on trying to keep ppl alive in heroics and being blamed for not keeping the tank up when he is one-shotted because his gear sucks.

When I started reading about the Star Trek MMO that is in development I knew my WoW days were numbered, but LOTRO may just suck me away first.
