Jun 22nd 2010 7:56PM I'm sad that this is happening, I'm a trial member in my new guild and I'm eager to have a fun raid night... this long period of time has made me despise 3.3.5, stale pizza, and cable television.
Oh the inhumanity!
Feb 25th 2010 9:58PM Well i can see why you wouldn't think its that bad, i understand your view. Heck, arrows were easy enough when we were leveling. I mean, one stack cost as much as a candle or a silly acorn, or poison. But when you reach the lvl cap, a night of raiding costs huge amounts in the ah. I mean, even though arrows are like 1 crystallized shadow, and the new frozen orb merchant will be there, that doesn't solve the problem. The problem is that the cost far exceeds that of the other regents. They can go VERY high in ah, engineers with recipe arent on etc. But that does not solve the ammo problem in general.
Feb 22nd 2010 8:59PM what is Deathbringer's Will internal cooldown, and frost have you or anyone else been able to calculate an uptime for it?
Feb 20th 2010 1:26PM I think that a hunter would be best suited to being the tank here
Feb 20th 2010 1:19PM @Clbull
I agree as well, Clbull. However a flaw i find with your mm theory of removing imp arcane shot? Now i do not use arcane shot within my rotation due to my amount of passive armor penetration (and in 4+ months the arp discussion will become redundant), but i know that many hunters, since that their arp is not at a certain level, weave arcane shot into their rotation. Removing that arcane shot buff may cut out a big portion of dps for some hunter builds, as aimed shot and steady realistically won't be dealing that much at ALL. Reducing by arcane could cut to pieces that mm build, and although i would not be unhappy, i find it slightly unsatisfactory to being restricted to one mm build that will only gain high damage with high armor pen.
Also, scaling serpent sting would create another obvious unbalance in mm. However, as much as i like increasing scaling arcane shot/serpent (Perhaps only for bm, which could resolve that issue. Imagine adding on to a talent either hidden or unhidden deep in the bm spec which increases the scaling of serpent sting and arcane shot) the arcane bonus would provide a great amount of HUNTER damage, not just steady shot and pet auto, which i think falls directly into Ghostcrawler's aforementioned requirements if they choose to buff BM (which i doubt)
In response to your pet scaling idea (which i and probably every other hunter loves, desires, and agrees with) how about this radical idea? What if, we LOWER the pet scaling of attack power, but RAISE the pet scaling from agility? By doing so, we keep the attack power scaling at the status quo, but are able to give our pets crit, armor, and dodge! Now that being said, there are daunting calculations required to figure out how much one would have to reduce ap and increase agil scaling to keep the pet's net ap almost exactly the same, but i think after testing it could work!
Lastly, i would love to see increased scaling of our pet's stamina. It would not affect its dps, only its survivalbilty which is a major drawback in bm from time to time (note: remember that if our pet dies we lose a lot, and it CAN be very bad). It would affect PvP though, and blizzard has stated they don't want overpowered pets in PvP.
