Apr 29th 2010 5:23PM Would someone mind explaining the specifics about how Entrapment works? I've picked it up at times in the past and I often find my opponents aren't snared by my frost & snake traps. I'm not sure if I just don't understand the mechanics, or if it's really not working. :(

Mar 8th 2010 3:58PM The endless cycle is what Buddhists call Samsara. Every aspect of our lives is characterized by endless coming and going - WoW is no different.

This cycle thrives because we want external circumstances to be a certain way for us. Things like phat lewts, gold, achievements, wins, our guild mates to like us, our enemies to give us opposition - whatever. The game is merely a forum for us to indulge our minds in that endless cycle of wanting and attaining. The ironic thing is that no matter what we attain, we are not satisfied. We always want more lewts, more achievements, more gold, more wins, more people to say nice things, more enemies to feed our hatred - whatever our particular neurotic disposition, we can feed it in this game. And then we want to not be in the game - another kind of wanting. But that doesn't work either.

Buddhists teach that the endpoint is not in indulgence or rejection, but equanimity. We should tame our own minds and see the cycle for what it is without clouding ourselves with opinion, speculation, hatred, seduction or any kind of conceptualization of it.

World of WarCrafts: Mixing it up with MrVoletron {WoW}

Feb 22nd 2010 4:05PM Draenon! I've been wanting to tell that story, because that was you who started calling me that, wasn't it? My in-game name was Tsultrim (I changed it recently, realm transfer), and I think people just couldn't pronounce it with the silent 't' or something, so you just started calling me Voltron. Is that about right? Or did it have something to do with my switching mounts...? Now I can't remember clearly, maybe you remember it better. I do remember that I added the 'e' after the 'l' because I wanted to move away from potential copyright infringement, lol. And then the 'Mr' got added because when I went to make a Youtube profile, someone already had 'Voletron.' YT's suggestion was MrVoletron. :)
