The Light and How to Swing It: Resistance, the magic stat {WoW}
Feb 24th 2012 1:08PM I hope they eliminate it as a stat. It's situationally useful in PVE, but that could be replaced by trinkets that reduce incoming magic damage by a set amount, or absorb a set amount of magic damage.
And eliminating spell resistance as a stat would let them eliminate spell penetration as a stat, which is nothing but upside for PVP players.
WoW Rookie: How to learn mouse turning {WoW}
Apr 15th 2011 12:14AM I heal using exclusively mouseover macros, and I don't have turn left or turn right bound on my keyboard. I strafe when I need to move, and perform quick turns left or right as necessary by moving my cursor over from my raid frames and performing a turn.
It makes me quicker at movement, by a *ton*, which matters for a wide variety of fights. There is no reason to keep keyboard turning as a healer.
WoW Rookie: How to become a PvP legend, step 1 {WoW}
Apr 7th 2011 10:18AM It's pretty similar. I use a mouseover macro for all my heals: "/cast [@mouseover,help,exists] [@target,help,exists] [@player] flash heal" is an example, and you can just substitute the name of your heal. And I have my raid frames out in battlegrounds and arenas, so I can easily hover over whichever player I'm healing.
So the end result is this: to move forward I hit W, to turn I hold down my right mouse button, and to cast flash heal I hit my flash heal hotkey (E in my case) while hovering over whoever I want to flash heal.
It's a little tougher than DPSing, but once you get practice with it it's very intuitive.
The Lawbringer: Unconscionability {WoW}
Feb 22nd 2010 10:09PM Hahaha you somehow managed to use unconscionability after first year. Bravo!
(I'm actually in family law now and we had to do unconscionability for prenups a couple weeks ago, so I'm being overly cynical.)
