Feb 28th 2010 5:39PM Ok, I don't have the 3 hours it would take to go through all the comments to see if anyone's posted this already BUT...
I for one am sick and tired of the WoW.com team being so blatantly pro-Alliance. CoT Sacking of Stormwind? Where I have to save Wrynn Jr.? No thanks. Give me CoT Sacking of Stormwind where the Infinite flight is trying to prevent the siege and the players take on the role of a valiant Horde strike team, making sure that the Infinite flight fails to break the siege. Only way I'd ever want to see this event as a CoT.
It seems to me that in general the Caverns of Time instances have the players making sure that a particular event that is against the interests of the Alliance succeed. Medivh opens the Dark Portal (pretty bad event for the Alliance). The Culling of Stratholme (shouldn't have to explain this). Thrall's escape from the concentration camps -- I mean internment camps (not exactly bad for the Alliance, but not the best). The Infinite flight has tried to stop each of these events. The Infinite flight always seems to be trying to prevent bad things from happening (or at least bad from the Ally point of view), and then the Bronze flight has us fix it. If we were going to get a CoT Sacking of Stormwind, it would mean that the Infinite flight was trying to mess something up with that particular event, which would HAVE to mean breaking the siege, since that's the "really bad" thing happening here.
Want to make it more faction-balanced? How about we start as orcs trying to help the siege and go on to help baby Wrynn, Lothar & Khadgar escape. This, of course, should be an afterthought and, hopefully, entirely skippable by Horde players with a sense of decency.
Sorry for all the Ally-hate, but man am I sick of the WoW.com team letting me down time and time again with their pro-Ally bias.
