Apr 27th 2010 8:45PM I swear, it doesn't matter how many times someone says this...
TALENT TREES WON'T REMAIN AS THEY CURRENTLY APPEAR, ESPECIALLY IN THE CASE OF DEATH KNIGHTS.
Blood tree will greatly differ since it will be grabbing most, if not all, of the tank talents from Frost and Unholy. You will have 25 points extra to play with at 85, giving you room to expand into other areas like AE ability.
JUST BECAUSE BLOOD IS SINGLE TARGET NOW DOESN'T MEAN CATA'S BLOOD TANKING TREE WILL BE A SINGLE TARGET SPEC.
Apr 27th 2010 12:21AM How'd you manage to pull this out of your arse? You can raid and heroic run as much as you please. You just won't be able to get massive amounts of heroic-points while waiting for the current raid tier to trickle down.
Apr 27th 2010 12:18AM They could manage this with the raid points. The conversion down from raid to heroic is mentioned but they don't say anything about old raids no longer giving heroic points. If all raids hand out raid points, that's something to get people in there if they're not meeting their weekly cap.
On the same note, it's also the incentive to nudge people along for disappearing pug-raids, since this is something brought up by others during the raid discussions. Consider your high end guild is doing Raid X, Y, and Z for top progression right now. Raids Q, R, and S are still there but guild doesn't run them. PUGs will happily raid here and people who are past it can still come along and pick up some points towards their weekly cap (and maybe an odd BIS trinket or what have you).
Mar 23rd 2010 1:56PM Moot point, as there are no 3DS games at the moment. It's an upgrade since 3DS will run anything DS Phat will also run (just more stuff as well).
Mar 3rd 2010 12:00AM It's no different than the current model, except you won't see four stats (Str, Agi, Int, AP) all increase damage done by the same amount per point. Everything will roll together under Agility for Enhancement and Mental Quickness or its ilk will still be in place to boost the spellpower-based abilities that Enhancement shares with Ele and Resto.
Mar 2nd 2010 11:55PM ReadingComprehension--. Hit's not going anywhere.
Mar 1st 2010 5:33PM Mastery Stat has always been explained as throwing bigger numbers at whatever your Mastery is giving. The example here is saying something like 100 Mastery Rating at 85 could give you a 5% multiplier on all your mastery numbers (note: numbers pulled from thin air, never even used in a real example, blah blah blah).
Mar 1st 2010 5:20PM "since any surplus points will be considered wasted."
Reading the part about combat ratings, it looks like +hit will be hard to waste. Y'know, with the whole higher tier bosses needing higher hit ratings. It's just a No EZ Mode for the two specs that had to be shoehorned into a stat.
