Apr 15th 2010 5:40PM This is a fairly good guide for the beginning balance druids, but as you get much more geared and begin to understand what you need to do when you need to do it, you can begin to forfeit the stamina and begin stacking spell power and haste.
Stamina is a great stat for when you're at low levels and almost getting one shotted or globalled, but it doesn't reduce your damage taken, only how much damage you can take.
Other then the stamina comments I agree with you on most of this guide.
Oct 27th 2008 2:31PM Just replying to something Helig said:
" Being able to drop 10K burst on a clothie right now = win. Being able to drop 14K burst on a Lvl 80 clothie with 20K health = kited paladin."
So you get someone with 20k life to down to 6k life in 3-4 seconds then you think oh shit there is no way I could ever catch this person?! ok your just terribad then... You still have repentence (Just implying that you used your HoJ in the burst) to catch up to them AND if that wasnt enough to catch up to them YOU DONT HAVE TO!!! You have INSTANT cast Hammer of Wraths that crit for insanely high damage! My resto druid actually got crit for 3.8k which is fking rediculous. That was my full 35% life... so QQ more Im sure that you could survive being kited long enough to get two Hammer of Wraths off.
Sep 19th 2008 2:06PM I have been using Mac for several years and I never really knew what spaces did. Thanks a ton for this! But a quick noob question. How do I get my spaces to NOT drag me up to Space 1 everytime I try to open another WoW application in Space 2? Please help since I have been CRAZY interested in starting a "slave" account.
With much appreciation for your help,
Sep 12th 2008 5:24PM Finally I dont need a rogue's kidney shot to make a shatter combo work on a druid. The one thing Im not sure on though is how hard does deep freeze hit for and does it take the target out of frost nova? So can I use that then do 2x Shatter Combos?
Aug 26th 2008 5:10PM I have read all of these pages of comments on how Arena isn't fair and arena should be on a different server but cmon. No matter how many people we have commenting on arena becoming fair, the views of 100-200 PvErs aren't going to change the decision of a corporation with 11 million subscribers.
Now for the nitty gritty talk.
I have read posts that consist of people complaining that they can't reach 1600 rating ONLY because of their lack of gear. cmon now... I play a balance druid with only S2 gear and im paired with a rogue RL friend that has the 0.5 pvp gear. The factor that makes PvP so much different from PvE is that PvP is based hugely on skill. PvE on the other hand is primarily based on organization and leadership while both PvE and PvP progression require gear. So everyone that is complaining about class balance and arenas being too hard please just go back to your bgs where you can 10vs1.
I will agree that Blizzard needs to balance classes more, but if you want to win (which most of you sound like) then make smart team choices. Stop running with unorthodox team compositions.
Good luck to everyone in Season 5 and have fun in WotLK.
Dec 18th 2006 1:08PM The new patch really turned me off of World of Warcraft. Playing as a 60 mage and a 60 warrior I saw that it was almost pointless to pvp anymore. If I was on my warrior the locks and just about every other class were pwning me over. I decided to try my mage out for pvp and saw the same results. The water elemental, hah what a joke of a talent and Dragon's Breath?!? cmon... that is pointless for a mage! I take pride in being able to keep range from most melee classes, but for Dragon's Breath you need to run up to the player and hope he doesnt stun you. Blizzard needs to rethink the hunter talents. I dont mean to complain too much, but I believe it to be just about impossible to beat a hunter now. You get in their dead zone they Scatter shot you, you get far away and start to cast any spell and they silence you. CMON Blizz!!!
Dec 18th 2006 12:58PM I had a guild on the server Eldre'Thalas but it was disbanded due to lack of people joining. It's name was Gnomeland Security. I thought it was a cool name but meh...
Dec 5th 2006 12:41PM I rolled a preist mainly to see how a priest thinks when in an instance. I have a 60 Mage, Warrior and Rogue. I wanted to feel how a priest feels when everyone is doing or not doing their assigned task. I realize that when you are in a good group, the healing is extremely easy. Now that I have my 60 dwarf priest, I know exactly what to do on my Mage, Warrior and Rogue to keep the healer happy. Its a win win situation for all my characters.
Oct 3rd 2006 1:23PM I totally agree with you to a point. The game has the adventure quality to it and running it with others teaches you exactly what not to do next time total learning experience. But when you have run the instance enough times to be able to write a book on it, its sometimes nice to have a much higher lvl take you through the instance again for the equipment you needed but didnt get because of your other party members.
