Jun 29th 2011 12:56PM If he does become the new aspect, it makes the aforementioned Osiris parallels funnier.
Okay, maybe just to me.
Jun 29th 2011 11:28AM Actually - I'm knowingly not attaching this comment to the above conversation - the sundering (HAR) of Thrall into elemental pieces felt more like a naturalistic riff on the Osiris myth and mystery religions.
Osiris, torn apart by his brother, Set, has his pieces gradually collected by his wife and life breathed back into it, after which he takes his place as lord of the underworld.
So, Thrall's quest is sort of like that, yet another hero's journey fable where he faces his impurities and comes out 'reborn.' Okay, we the players do it for him, but there you are.
Jun 24th 2011 9:23PM No, man. No. Always is pretty good, but it is outmatched by Dio's Holy Diver video.
He predicted stumpy dwarves marching slowly through Lagforge with a sword. You cannot deny the godly prescience of Dio.
May 10th 2011 1:25PM Freud would say that this is not a comment, but he lied.
May 3rd 2011 7:03PM I kept every one of those shinies, too. They're still in my bank; expect they will be till I'm done with the game.
May 3rd 2011 12:15PM Well, I'm all choked up for the day.
I still wish we'd been able to progress-phase the burnt out Mosswalker village in Sholazar. I can't even fly over it because of how upset I got at the gorlocs trying to figure out how their murder was their own fault.
Yes, I'm an emotional gerbil. :P
Feb 23rd 2011 10:36AM I always kneel for Lament of the Highborne if I happen to be there. Regardless of Sylvanas' motives at the moment, that calls for a little respect.
I do emotes on PVE. I talk to NPCs. Some of them (Chromie!) I even hug. I don't even care if anyone's watching; it's my way of having fun.
Though if we ever get a genuine faction out of The Reliquary, that might be the time I get tempted to go full roleplay. I LOVE the archaeology rivalry.
Feb 9th 2011 2:12PM Should have asked him about the trolltastic politics tab and the persistent rumor that forum trolls are kept around to drive clicks.
Jan 25th 2011 8:43AM I forgot one:
If you utter any variant of the phrase "gogogogogo" in a random, I hope your pee burns for at least a day.
Jan 25th 2011 8:27AM That one guy in my guild who has started a new habit of quitting out on people after one or two attempts, in addition to having all the tact of a toddler about it. Luckily, the GL is on it.
I also can't stand the snotty dogpiling that happens when someone asks a simple question in trade, in addition to all its other 'charms.'. I'm tired of the attitude that 'lol, it's just trade'. No. Stop that crap. Ignore, report, inform. There's a huge silent majority of decent people out there. Stop rolling over for these slimeballs. Take it back.
