Mar 4th 2010 8:35PM I'm curious why these changes are suddenly coming now when it's been like that from the beginning of ICC?
I'm sure many are going to start crying "You're making it too easy!" though.
Personally, as a tank I'm glad for the slight delay on Morrowgar now. It kind of sucks when the second bonestorm ends he one shots a caster, but still we managed to down him 90% of the time on the first try in both 10 and 25 versions.
Mar 4th 2010 7:11PM Selling gold would absolutely destroy the game.
Believe it or not, things that you may not value a lot such as pets, flasks, consumables are important to people. Introducing a huge new source of money without an equal and opposite gold sink will drive prices through the roof.
Do you really want to pay 50000g for your next epic gem when you finally get that piece of tier gear you finally grind enough to get? Maybe it doesn't matter to you, but it matters to a lot of people, especially the ones who cannot afford to actually pay real money to buy the new prices of items and therefore are unable to keep up and compete.
What about new players? Oh, that would be fun. It's bad enough as it is on my server when most uncommon or higher gear under level 20 sells for over 5-10g, and often much more. Gold selling would inflate that to levels never seen before.
After a while, everyone would see they can no longer afford to play this game because you would have to buy such vast amounts of gold to be useful.
A developer once said that they are far more concerned about inflation and taking money OUT of the game than people making it.
Think about it.
