Apr 28th 2011 11:43AM Addons and pen/paper seem like a lot of extra work to me. I just opened a chat line right there in game and keyed it in... RGYYYBGR...
Occasionally I would accidentally hit enter instead of escape and my guildies would know exactly where I was and what I was doing. =)
There are a few other dailies for rep, too. You should have most of them unlocked already if you did the Skyguard rep. (rounding up the rays, bombing the fel cannonballs, etc.).
Apr 26th 2011 6:24PM I agree 100%! Still love it when guildies ask for help with a Scholo run.
Apr 19th 2011 2:05PM My CC macro is slightly different. I use:
#showtooltip Shackle Undead
/focus [target=focus, noexists]; [target=focus, dead]
/cast [target=focus,exists,nodead] Shackle Undead
The first line does two things. First, if you leave the macro icon as the ? it will display the Shackle Undead icon on your macro button. Second, it provides the Shackle Undead tooltip when you place your mouse over it.
When you right click on the macro button, the next two lines clear your focus if you have one selected and then stop running. This feature is for clearing your focus if you need to change your CC target, such as if something broke your CC but there is another mob firing at the group from range. Right click the button and these lines clear your focus so you're ready to set a new one. This is only necessary to do if your current focus is still alive. If it's already dead, the next line will set your new focus.
Now the tricky stuff. The /focus line sets your target as your focus if you meet one of the following three conditions:
1. You have no focus target
2. You have a focus but it no longer exists (such as a despawned mob)
3. You have a focus but it is dead
What this means is that any time you left click the macro button, it will set your target as your focus, but ONLY if you don't have one or the one you have is dead or non-existent. If you have a living focus target, it will NOT change your focus. This is the key to why this macro is so helpful because the left click will also run the final line.
The last line of the macro checks for you to have a focus, verifies it is indeed alive and then casts your CC on it, EVEN IF YOU ARE TARGETING ANOTHER MOB OR PLAYER, without changing your current target!
Apr 19th 2011 1:21PM I put a stop casting line in my Guardian Spirit macro, too. Mostly because much of the time I'm casting it it's an Oh @#!$ moment and if I'm in the middle of a long cast, I want to stop and get that GS out NOW!
Apr 19th 2011 1:09PM I think the mouseover vs. target select debate comes down to whether you're a keyboard mover or mouse. I know plenty of people on both sides of that debate and have never really understood why there's so much hate for people that prefer to use the keyboard for their movements. Probably in world first type of situations those few milliseconds here and there make a difference, but I think for most players it really just doesn't matter.
I would think that most people that heal with mouseovers are keyboard movers/turners and those that click cast are mouse movers.
Apr 18th 2011 1:06PM and for making dreamcloth...
Apr 14th 2011 4:44PM Making Dreamcloth isn't the only thing tailors can do with orbs. Behold! I present to you the most absurd tailoring item ever to grace a male toon...
It looks quite nice on the womenfolk, though. =)
Mar 22nd 2011 4:38PM Lots of options here... could go with some variation on Archives, Chronicles, Annals... could even use basement or attic! Most people associate those rooms with old dusty stuff that's not used any more.
Mar 14th 2011 12:41PM That's 10 people per station, war101. I think it'd be safe to assume that they had more than one station. Start multiplying stations by 10 and that line gets long fast.
Mar 11th 2011 5:25PM I did the same thing! I would never use CoH because it was so underwhelming, even though I'd trained it up. I'd complained for ages and then one nite in a pug someone's Rank Watch informed me of the problem. One quick opening of my spellbook, pull down max rank and WOW! That's MUCH more effective!
