Mar 22nd 2012 12:10PM "Another thought I had: Isn't it best to only use 1 so that the most amount of SS CPs go to damaging finishers so your cooldowns end earlier? hmm."
Keep in mind that the more CP you spend on any finisher the more energy you get back (ok, the greater chance to get energy back). This offsets factors that encourage you to use it at a lower number of CP, though for combat I don't know to what extent. Another thing to consider is if you are in a position where you have 5 CP and can either refresh SnD as soon as it fades or get an Eviscerate off then refresh SnD a bit later with just one CP, you are sacrificing uptime on SnD, which as we all know is really quite bad.
While I don't know the exact numbers (I am mostly interested in optimizing sub), I would say it may be theoretically better to use SnD with sub-5 CP, though the difference would likely be pretty small.
Mar 21st 2012 7:21PM "If you don't like spamming SS until you have enough combo points to use SnD, then you don't like playing a rogue in PvE."
I wouldn't like just spamming SS till I have enough CP for SnD. That's why I spam BS/Ambush/Hemo until I have enough CP for SnD, Recuperate, Eviscerate, or maybe Rupture. ;)
Mar 8th 2012 12:08PM !@#$ Hunters!
Feb 16th 2012 11:36AM The faster speed gives you more mastery procs anyway, so buffing the mastery damage by that amount gave way too much damage. Still I wish the daggers were a bit more powerful.
Jan 25th 2012 2:47PM Actually if you have a warlock you may want to bribe them for Dark Intent by offering Tricks to them. Especially for subtlety, you can give the lock good blabla who cares about them, while getting more haste of the energy/sec increasing type.
Dec 2nd 2011 2:05PM Pretty much, cept I am not an engineer.
Dec 1st 2011 3:29PM I loved the quest to enter Gilneas, but in the end I ended up doing something a bit more...creative. It helps to think outside of the box. And not let that sissy mage tell us what to do. Anyone know what I did?
Nov 28th 2011 1:57AM It is really not hard with decent gear. Plus if you are already combat you will start with pretty good itemization.
Oct 14th 2011 12:48PM Ohh, we should have an ability lets us use another class/spec's signature ability.
"Puts a buff on your target, allowing you the use of an ability depending on the target"
Mage: Mirror Image
Warlock: Drain Life (but would allow us to do stuff during its duration)
Hunter: Be despicable, disengage?
Druid: Runspeed increase
Paladin: Short bubble
Shaman: Root effect
Oct 13th 2011 12:14PM What if we had a passive bonus to damage for every hunter corpse that is within X yards from the rogue?
Ok seriously though:
I like the idea of a targeted gas cloud. It would last a while (like, 30 secs?) and be on a fairly short CD (maybe another 30 secs) It would probably be a dps increase if it was up for its entire duration (doing a bit more damage/energy than the average finisher). However, the duration would be long enough that most AoE packs would be dead before the cloud does too much damage (basically its damage would be high but the dps wouldn't).
In addition, it would have a secondary effect which would be only useful in PvP, for instance, enemies' attack, casting & movement speed are slowed. That way, a rogue would have a distinct advantage in that area (and try to fight people there). For soloing/assassination/ganking, it would make the enemy less likely to get away, and you could even make it reduce aggro radius for anyone in the AoE.
