WoW Moviewatch: Epic {WoW}

Nov 12th 2010 4:28PM HEYO! Thanks Michael, for the feature ^_____^.

@People with questions about equipment/mixing.

I'm using a BROKEN Samson Gtrack. Set to Mono it records left channel stereo and it has a retarded amount of air on the right side making it so that my voice had to be compressed a thousand times over losing its initial "umph". I need to buy a new microphone, unfortunately I need to save up for the microphone I'm swooning for - a Rode K2 OR KSM44 (Both around 700-800 Dollars). My voice is powerful, my microphone, broken as it is already, cannot handle the peaking that comes with my voice.

I didn't use autotune because all around the notes were on point and when Greyfoo ran a chromatic pitch corrector over it, it barely moved at all. Basically all my voice is in this track is EQ and Compression. No exciter, no reverb, just what was previously stated. I'll probably release a 'directors cut' version of the song with reverb/etc. Meh, who knows.

Regardless, I sang this song to its full potential - quality was just lost due to the equipment I have. Shitty ftl.

Nov 1st 2010 4:36PM Take it from someone in the film (we've seen the rough), it's a very compelling and AMAZING story!

WoW Moviewatch: Operation Gnomeregan {WoW}

Oct 19th 2010 5:34PM I'm not going to lie, my voice is different from MANY other singers (Sharm, Isolte, Summergale) including main stream singers. The way I relate my voice to anyone is going STRAIGHT to Lisa Lavie. I have a very husky voice and a very large range, so it's kind of hard to avoid using autotune in a song that sort of needs the distinguishing factor of an electronic sound versus .. my voice :P

Different people have different voices and unfortunately, most of the time you need to alter a songs instrumental in order to fit the voice. We were on a schedule so it was really hard to get that hard electronic sound without the autotune.

Oct 19th 2010 5:28PM Just going to clear a few things up.

1. Auto tune was used as a synthesiser as it is an electronic song. If you doubt my capability, please reference my channel/irl channel.
2. It was titled Operation Gnomeregan (spelling error) because the original is "Operation Reminder"
3. I'm tired.

Thanks Michael for posting this, appreciate it! Lu!

thanks for the re-feature! *hugs tight*.

WoW Moviewatch: Imma Tree {WoW}

Jul 15th 2010 8:11AM And I quote Janessa, I am immune to boobs as I am female.

Really though, Kudos to Lily having the balls to do this. Yes, she needs to work on her vocals. Yes, she needs to work on her editing and Yes it would have been nice if the lyrics were memorized (this is solely due to the fact that you can put more emotion into the song whilst them being engraved in your brain, rather than being distracted by a glaring screen).

Good first try - but remember to practice & listen to the song for days on end before going into recording, especially if you're unfamiliar with the genre or song >.

Jul 2nd 2010 6:23PM Unfortunately I'm engaged ^_^ But I did a lot of the singing in this machinima, with Sharm on harmony with me in the chorus/bridge and verse 2. Sharm might be interested, although I don't think Dudeadin will let her go! :P
