Usefull though ;)
Jan 24th 2011 11:50AM @ Ozzard,
I'm running 64-bit win 7 home-premium and an ATI Radeon HD 5700 series with 1GB GDDR5 memory...
dont understand why this would only allow 3GB though :s
Jan 24th 2011 11:38AM Agree with sondre on this one,
Not a Mac-user myself but 8GB to play wow is overkill if u ask me.
Upgrading your 256mb gpu to something higher like 1GB should on the other hand increase your gaming experiance.
Jan 24th 2011 11:32AM Guess he was using 2GB DDR-2 or some verry heavy background programs like you noted.
I used to have 4GB DDR-3 in my pc till one module started to give me some trouble when booting, so i removed the module. Now I'm running at 3GB, everything max with all the addons I had before and I dont even really notice any decrease in performance.
I'm using win7 though which is allot more forgiving on memory then Vista was.
Jan 6th 2011 5:17PM At first i was thinking of an actual touchscreen keyboard like most smartphones displays, but actual keys with a small touchscreen built in is actually an awsome idea!
Dont know if it'll make for great gaming on a 7" display though but that could just be me since i dont like mobile gaming anyway.
Now make an actual pc keyboard like this and you can hook me up! I can already how much easier and more fun this will be when playing wow.
Jan 5th 2011 10:55AM I like my character names to be either funny or clever,
I dont really like to use well-known names from movies, books, etc though.
My rogue's called strychnine, cause strychnine's a pretty potent poison actually, and whats a rogue without his poisons right? ;)
I had an undead mage once, Schaambeen, which is "pubic bone" in dutch. (only character with that name on the eu armory at the time :D)
Also ran into a dwarf priest one day on my server, he was called aspirin, which i thought was pretty funny.

Aug 26th 2010 7:55PM @vern:
It really is a matter of personal opinian. My mains a disc/holy priest and i raid casually. I also use grid-like frames but I only let them show player names on top of the class-colloured backgrounds, and a little frame surounding each one that turns red for aggro and yellow when they have the weakened soul debuff, so I know who to shield when needed.
I like having the names there cause in any givin raid you could have lets say 5 druids, of whom 2 are healing. That way I can decide who should get healed first and who can manage without.
The unit frames on my ui also wont show health numbers as this would be to distracting for me personaly. As far as spotting buffs and debuffs, I cant check if everyone is buffed right, certainly not from looking at their total health. (this is just me though). Debuffs show up on a differen bar created with satrinas buff bars, witch is a great little addon imo.
As you mentioned already, this is all pretty much personal preference though.
Aug 3rd 2010 1:07AM I'd love to see something like a 5-healer team just for laughs. Just picture entering the arena with 5 healers, ready to whithstand anything the opposing team throws at you. I'm only an amature pvp'er, but I can imagine a team like that would be a real grind to take down with all the HoTs, dispells, buffs and what not.
Who knows they might even wear the other team down after a verry long fight... That might be just whishfull thinking though. ;)
