Apr 4th 2011 9:42PM Who cares? The premise of this tournament is ridiculous.
Mar 20th 2011 8:10AM The sounds are as much a part of the overall game design as the graphics. And, there are so many audible cues and clues to hear -- such as the sound of incoming traffic and then the sound of someone entering stealth mode in the WsG flag room. My only regret is having to turn the in-game sound down during raids so that I can hear vent a bit better.
Mar 16th 2011 3:54PM For the most part, Power Auras takes what information is already available and allows you to customize how it is displayed on the screen.
Mar 16th 2011 3:52PM I use Power Auras for a couple of things...
01. When poison expires and I need to refresh my blades.
02. When the target health drops to 35% as a reminder to switch from mutilate to backstab
03. When my health drops to 15% -- a small image of Jesus Christ appears above my head to "save me".
Mar 16th 2011 2:57PM My two-cents and opinion...
Ive been PUGging all content since BC, and I played on a server that has strong PUG raids. Ive used the LFD feature since it was introduced and for +/- 18 months I have not run into the problems so many talk about. It was only on rare occasion that I had a bad one.
For Cata I joined a guild of nice people who do not grief or flame or QQ, but I still PUG my daily dungeon, and it hss not been a catasyrophe.
This past week I decided to be a little more social and run Heroics with guild mates. OMG! Now I know what everyone else has been talking about! I have never played with worse players. I had no idea there were such incompetant players out there.
Im going back to PUGging Heroics. Its much safer.
Feb 28th 2011 8:14PM When II logged in Sunday morning there were more than 400 stacks of obsidium ore priced at roughly 40g per stack. I bought as much as I could simply to get it off the market, and flipped it all into cut gems which I vendored. I made excellent gold, but it concerns me how and where this ore comes from. It's crashing the ore and gem markets simultaneously on my server. One player listed 200+ individual Carnelian gems consecutively. This is insane.
Feb 25th 2011 11:53PM Played on a server where it is common to see people selling 30-day game cards for in-game gold. It was so common a new player would not even expect it to be a violation.
Feb 25th 2011 8:02PM No specofic class puts me at ease just as no class gives me any worry. Its about the player and not the class itself. What a poorly conceived article.
Feb 14th 2011 4:36PM I'm not watching chat 100% of the time when I play. I'm sure I miss many "obligatory" opportunities, but I do think it is polite to say grats for modest or greater achievements.
"Grats" is so worn out. Better to comment on the achievement with a little more effort like, "Grats, but why no pedicure?".
Feb 13th 2011 12:35PM @ Gimmlette: Why are Children's Week PvP achievements "stupid". They are no more stupid that the PvE dungeon achievements. Some people might ask why they have to do a dungeon to have a 20% shot at a green santa hat.
Wow is a diverse game. The achievements help to introduce people to areas of the game players may well not have experienced.
Don't be so myopic.
