Paragon: We're sorry we cheated {WoW}

Dec 6th 2011 6:03PM "We acknowledge that using this unintended behavior, which was quite clearly a bug, to our gain, was wrong. The fact that others were using it as well is no justification for doing it ourselves. We apologize for doing it, and accept whatever consequences follow."

On a side note, does anyone else wish Wall Street bankers would declare a statement like this to congress? Instead of getting bailed out with our money?

The Queue: Universal {WoW}

Nov 27th 2011 4:21PM I couldn't agree more. Stargate started out brilliantly. The stories were interesting, and the chemistry between the actors sensational. When SG-U started up I was like, OMG BATTLESTAR GALACTICA RIPOFF !!! Let's see you got the raspy sounding commander, the long haired genius psychotic, 100% drama, the dark feel of the show, crew people turning on each other,even their uniforms were kinda the same! I was like seriously why not go all the way and get Ron Moore doing the show for you guys. What a shame for the Stargate series.

Breakfast Topic: What do you want from 5-man content? {WoW}

Nov 14th 2011 12:09PM "And therein lies the problem. The RDF has cultivated a playerbase of the lazy and unmotivated, who are only out for fast rewards."

I find this comment offensive and myopic. Some people who enjoy this game don't have more than 1 or maybe 2 hours a week to play due to life circumstances and want to get has much as they can out of it.
I would kindly suggest sir before stringing certain words together, take a brief moment to observe the world through eyes other than your own.

Breakfast Topic: What do you want from 5-man content? {WoW}

Nov 14th 2011 9:23AM What thing that drives me up the wall is what I consider "ridiculous" things like when 1 person makes a mistake on like the Corla fight (screwing up the beam), it's a wipe. Mechanics like that are what I consider a "raid like" mechanic where ONE person makes ONE mistake and wipes the group ,belongs in raids. For something like that the person who screwed up should just die and not be a wipe. I have seen the VAST majority of my random groups absolutely fall apart right then and there, and my limited game time is wasted.
I'm not pushing for an easy run through like WOTLK turned into but still dungeon fights shouldn't be asking for perfection either, especially from random players who don't even speak up.

GuildOx shares the most popular WoW character names by class {WoW}

Nov 2nd 2011 6:44PM Say whaaaat ?! Where the hell is "Britneyfears" on the Warlock list ?! That's scary.

ESRB issues apology over email leak {WoW}

Jul 13th 2010 5:04PM On one hand: EPIC FAIL here for ESRB. The very people who want their privacy protected they did the complete opposite and gave everyone's info to each other.

On the other hand at least they had to decency and class to apologize publicly. I'm sure the person who hit that button is getting all kinds of shit from work. Kinda feel bad for them actually.

But all this was initiated by Activision/Blizzard who DID NOT apologize over this RealID fiasco. Read Mike Morhaime's response people there is no apology in there. They are not going through with what they want he said "at this time" also "Over time, we will continue to evolve Real ID on to add new and exciting functionality within our games for players who decide to use the feature"

Translation: We panicked when we saw people canceling their accounts and are gonna give our little Warcrack addicts sometime to reconsider accepting what we want to feed them. He is telling you in no uncertain terms they are regrouping and trying to figure out another way to jam this down your throats.

Mike Morhaime: Real names will not be required on official Blizzard forums {WoW}

Jul 10th 2010 5:26PM Snobaste, You are missing some major points and insulting people by calling them "paranoia-ridden" and "scared-shitless" because you have a different (and incomplete) point of view displays your arrogance and ignorance and here's why.
People have their full names on the internet like on Facebook. Now, are those people destroying each other's Avatar's in PVP as in a game that can drive people into a frenzy? Ever been corpse camped for hours? Look at the forums on a pvp server or anything related to pvp. Those are where the loonies who take this game to serious reside. I remember playing "Mortal Combat" in the arcades way back when and I've seen more fights break out over people getting their asses kicked infront of their fellow gamers than anything else. Any PVP type game elicits that type of behavior because you just dominated are were dominated by another human being. In front of others mind you those feelings are magnified mind you..
I remember quite a few people on my old server of Magtheridon well, if people had their real names let's just say I wouldn't want to be around if they ever caught up with them.
Also what is disturbing is reading interviews with top Activision/Blizzard people referring to Facebook and wanting to replicate their success with REAL ID. Let me tell you something, If they are taking advice from the child who runs that company who says it's disingenuous and phony to want to have a private life and is on a mission to do something about it well, can you say "1984"!?!?!?! How dare he try to run and expose my "online" life to the world. I WILL MAKE those decisions not him or anyone else how DARE THEM.

Jul 9th 2010 10:23PM I agree with you on many things in your post.

However, what you are suggesting is akin to saying yes I know no matter what I do to protect my car (alarms, the club, etc) someone can always steal it. No denying that.

But giving away someone's FULL LEGAL NAME is akin to just leaving the doors to your car unlocked, keys left in the ignition, and a sign on hood saying "STEAL MY CAR"

I hope you can see my point as well.

Jul 9th 2010 5:24PM I completely agree with you. I am interested to know how many accounts they lost but I doubt they would ever disclose such info unless they have to explain a huge loss in revenue during this quarter. Interested to see how their stock does if they lower "guidance" to Wall Street analysts.

Mike Morhaime: Real names will not be required on official Blizzard forums {WoW}

Jul 9th 2010 5:17PM I think it's important to note that it was not the 50,000+ complaints that stopped this measure going through it was people who CANCELLED THEIR ACCOUNTS and some even went one step further and deleted their characters who brought this change through. I still don't trust this company anymore they have completely lost my trust and will NEVER get it back. To even attempt something like this is beyond a nightmare and displays a disturbing mindset that they have in plan for using your info to make money and jeopardize your safety/privacy in the process. A battle was one but the war I feel is far far from over.
