Apr 13th 2011 2:26PM I'd honestly love it if there was a way the PLEX system could work with WoW, but I don't think it could. For one, everyone on Eve is on the same server and (however distantly) participating in the same economy. If you want to buy/sell PLEX, the most you'd have to do to get a fair price is spend some time slogging through 30+ jumps to Jita or another market hub. In WoW, economies vary so much server to server that if Blizzard sold their version of a PLEX for $15, it'd be worth different amounts of gold on each. If you're on a newer or less populated server with fewer players who have the in-game means to shell out gold for game time, the system would be nearly worthless to you. Since servers are economically isolated (unless you pay for a server transfer) some players would arbitrarily gain more from the PLEX exchange than others, and I doubt that Blizzard will head in that direction.
Feb 22nd 2011 11:23AM That's exactly what I wondered when I read the reference to April 1st. Is there a compiled list out there of Blizzard's previous gags? I remember some of them (EPEEN meter, bards) but it'd be fun to remember the others and some of the the-sky-is-falling responses people gave before they remembered the date.
Feb 18th 2011 9:49AM I have to agree with Lisa on this one. Unless there's something big that this guy is leaving out, it sounds like the breakup itself is over and done with. Trying to have another serious break-up talk without a really obvious reason to think your original message didn't sink in would probably just hurt things worse.
As long as as you're reasonable about your in-guild interactions (as in, not trying to provoke a response via public flirting) and respectful, you can have the confidence that you're doing the right thing. Breakups are painful and you can't expect to shield her from that. If it's truly too much for her, she has the right to gquit too.
Feb 17th 2011 9:42AM I'm currently doing this with my pally alt. One thing I've noticed is that while battleground leveling was extremely fast pre-60, around the level 60 mark it really seems to slow down. So much so, in fact, that I'm thinking of switching back to questing. Even when we win, that xp bar just doesn't seem to want to move much. The exception to this is AV; a win there can give a healthy chunk of xp, especially if your team burns every tower/bunker and kills drek/van.
At this point I'm a little bummed that I missed the new 1-60 experience on the pally, especially when the new quests are so compelling. I will have a healthy chunk of honor when I'm done, but I'm not sure that's worth it.
Feb 16th 2011 9:52PM Classic: the music in Teldrassil. As so many have said, it has a huge nostalgia factor, and it's just gorgeous.
BC: Karazhan. It sets the mood perfectly, and really fits.
Wrath: I love Invincible, the "ode to the fallen king" using the same voice in the cinematic. Part of it is featured in the new cata menu music. You can find the full thing on youtube, and it's beautiful. I'm also partial to God Hunters, the sly, dark music from Zul'Drak.
Cata: Nightsong, hands down. Parts are featured in Tanaris, and the battle-oriented section can be heard in Hyjal. It's haunting, but also extremely powerful.

Apr 6th 2010 1:31PM I love the female troll voice and emotes. If I weren't so attached to my main's alliance raiding guild, I'd apply for a race/ faction change today.
